135 th Nation War

Aug 31, 2008 davejohn link
An excellent 135 th Nation War , Decent turnout with many newer players joining in .
Please note that swarms and Lmines are banned from NWs due to lag problems, but that the latter are under review. Oh , and Biocom mines are too... And don't even think about bringing a pet Furie.

Please note that folk coming back to watch should be in an EC class ship, and stay 2000m from the action using zoom to watch. If you come back in anything else it makes it very difficult for me to work out what is going on, and in extreme circumstances may lead to the disqualification of your team.

A fun NW , excellent combat action, good to see newer players joining in . The serco team engaged grey and UIT from the off. The fight concentrated in one area, a lot of fast flying, the itanis surviving well . shar lasted well for the grey tea, but a strong win for the serco .

The Nine surviving Serco, Greben, Mecha Touriuas, veracity, Bignasty78, Sheffield, schelling, Star Buck. Confessor and Vardonx split the 20 million cr Prize, sponsored jointly by TGFT , M.Wittman , Waldoze, Pasquel, John Eldritch, Blitzkreig Bob, Pickaxe Pete, Wild Gramps and Tohasandra Chi.

My Thanks to all the newer players that joined in , practice and kill me next time ;-)

May I ask all players to stay close to their nation group and remain relatively stationary at the start , makes it easier for me to record names .

The wins: (Thanks RentaGhost)

I checked my ping intermittently during the NW when I experienced visible lag.

Before the war, it was a solid 53ms. At the height of the NW, it was doubled. During the early and late stages, it was in the 70s. It seems we are getting some latency issues- before I logged off 3 hours after the conclusion of the NW, my ping was still higher than normal.

I'm not sure if these numbers will help the Devs at all, but there it is. I can send my logs if necessary.
