Horizon
The stars didn't even twinkle. How could they? There was no atmosphere to interfere with the light from the distant suns blazing billions of miles away.
Miles. What an archaic measurement. How did it remain when there were so much better methods of measurement? Probably because for whatever reason, it has become synonymous with capitalism. And profit. In the late 23rd Century, one of the greatest minds in business since Adam Smith came up with a simple, yet unfathomably important equation to measure economic value. It was amazingly simple, yet forever after affected business principle and the mile was etched into business practice. What is that formula? I'll never tell. But I built an empire on it.
My name is Sledge. Sledge H. Ammer.

Sledge walks through the cavernous warehouse which bustles with activity. Transports shuttle cargo to and from lifters, which in turn are moving heavy cargo from the gravity well of Dau to the orbiting mooring outposts.
This place is a result of thousands of years of accumulated knowledge. Horizon Corporation is the end result of exhausting studies and research projects to unlock the secrets of deep space shipping profitability. Coupled with the latest financial and data reports from our branch offices around the galaxy, we are in a very good position to maximize our earnings and enhance our customers ability to react to the local environments in which they operate.
Sledge stops walking and faces the camera
We've made the commitment and our investors expect nothing less. Shares of Horizon stock have barely hit the market, and already they are among the most expensive..and productive. Horizon Corporation has a mandate. The largest group of investors ever assembled are backing our venture and we will stop at nothing to achieve our goals.
I'm Sledge, and you can count on that.
