Mephostopholes has lowered his Pirate Flag.

I decided to start a Gambling District in greyspace.
It has come to my attention that THC hosting this event did not go over so well, so there will be a new guild implemented:
[GDAP] Gambling District Authorized Personnel

If you would like to be a dealer or help out with events, please contact Mephostopholes or Breazle.
This district will offer:
Poker
Slots (plugin in the works right now)
Roulette
Craps
PvP Fights (bet on winner)
Racing (bet on winner)

This is all very new, so please, /msg Mephostopholes *or* Breazle for more information. I hope all of you come check this out and enjoy yourselves. As of right now, there are no certain times - except Thursday Nights (previous post).
And just to clarify : THIS IS NOT HOSTED BY PIRATES.

Also, betting is between players. GDAP will not receive payment, this is for you pleasure. If the slot bot runs, it will take your credits, however, that money will stay in for slot winnings.

I was at the trial game.. it went really well. I had fun :) I would be willing to give it another go even.

I like the idea of PVP matches. Watching and betting on them.

It's a shame Meph had to renounce his pirate ways to do this though, because if you think about it, it's exactly the kind of thing that a pirate/grey space guild *should* be hosting.

Score a victory for the carebears of the world who want everyone to have to share in their dull, mind-numbing existence-- Meph, I hope you at least create a pirate alt to help keep the game exciting...

He can still be a part of CLm afaik. Gambling and piracy goes hand in hand after all.

about all this mumbojumbo with the gambling being the same as pirates blah blah blah. When GDAP hosts poker and other events when more than one players is involved, the house doesn't receive credits. The players are putting in the jackpot and the winner wins the jackpot. We are not here to take all of your money. Our purpose it to give another event for players outside the fighting, trading, mining atmosphere. The SlotBot isn't making as many credits as you think either. The lowest amount you can win is 60k, it costs 10k to "pull". Many players have hit 600k and 1mil. making more than 4x the money they put in.
so don't get the wrong idea, we are here for player interaction and entertainment ;)
