[UPK] Now Recruiting
"After the Corporate Wars concluded, the Union Senate, at the behest of The Propeller Group, ordered the creation of a police force, unbiased by corporate interests, to mediate in the Territories' internal affairs. This force, more widely known as the Peacekeeping Corps, was and still remains the closest institution that the Union possessed resembling a true military arm. It was believed at the time of the Corps' founding that the presence of such a force would coerce the competing corporations into fair play.
However, after nearly two centuries of relative inactivity, it has become clear that this strategy is no longer valid, if, indeed, it ever was. Corporate corruption and violent confrontation are more rampant than ever; they have merely been driven underground, where they are harder to target and rout. Privateers, unchecked by anyone save for a handful of licensed mercenaries, menace the space-ways and disrupt what honest trade our nation still adheres to. The nascent "Hive" continues to grow and consume our natural resources at an alarming rate. Fringe corporations are gun-running to supply the distant Serco-Itani war; involving us in an ancient feud which we should never have become entangled with, threatening the very future of children for the sake of the quarterly profit. Most grievous of all, is the continued corporate association with known Akaneese terrorists, who remain free due to the prevalent pacifistic apathy of the Monastic Order of Eo, earning our nation the ire of increasingly aggressive Serco malcontents, whose ancestor's sins against past generations, though since forgiven, are far from forgotten. The Senate becomes increasingly powerless to combat such evils with every day, and even TPG, with all its talk of fair-play, is more than willing to turn a blind eye to such things for the sake of their own bottom line.
Indeed, it is long past due that we came to action. Our nation is surrounded by enemies, and stands poised to disintegrate into a second, bloody civil war. Though certain third parties have attempted, valiantly, to forestall this end, the sheer scope of the peril goes beyond the capacity of any one of them alone. It is a Peacekeeper's solemn duty to preserve our Union of Independent Territories, and with the very solvency of our Nation in jeopardy, we can remain idle no longer.
As our first act of renewed vigilance, we are forming a new enlistee division in an attempt to bolster our standing forces. We can only hope that there are enough decent Union citizens left that this initiative does not collapse in on itself from the same apathy that has left our nation in its present state."

It sounds like this guild will operate specifically in UIT space, not gray space, yes?

I have joined UPK and will defend my Union brothers with any means necessary. It has been too long that we have been stuck in the middle of this so called war. If Serco and Itani cannot make peace, fine.

@UPN I don't think anyone here would call the UIT puppets. The UIT pilots are unique, they have the choice to ally with the Itani or serco (scum) or be neutral. Without the UIT and its sub factions, we wouldn't have this war. Both sides need you for our excellent ships, weapons and other fine equipment.
