I get the feeling you're referring to Aji "Shape" Keshi? (Yes, I'm enough of a nerd to look that up on the VPR wiki).
Anyway, yes, we can and do villinize pieces of cotton, lint, cargo crates, and various other inanimate objects if only for the reason that nearly all of the competent pirates have moved on and a dust-bunny is usually more intimidating than the rabble which they have left behind to inherit their legacy.
That having been said, I remain skeptical of Peytros' motives, but I'd be willing to throw him a bit of rope (although that might just be a Machiavellian desire that he hangs himself with it; who knows?).

Used to be if Eldrad, Shape, Martin or Gavan caught me in B8 and was in the mood to kill, I'd be dead in seconds. Shape and Martin don't show up anymore, and Gavan just trolls the forums complaining about his color settings. ELdrad's morphed into something else if he ever DOES come online.
There's nobody to fear anymore. To be brutally honest and unpopular, Roda Slane comes closest to the person who I dread having to avoid if I have a cargo ship.
