The Biocom Trials
Being stabbed in the back can have two meanings: literal and figurative. Sraer was figuratively (thank Eo) stabbed in the back by the Itani government, whom, after finding out Sraer's Biocom standing and that he owned Biocom manufactured ships, took away Sraer's Itani Test Pilot License and his Itani POS standing. No more could the amateur X-1 pilot fly the second ship of his dreams or fly the Centurion Border Guardian. Just because of a faction standing and ship type.
The depressed Sraer, whose day started well, walked down the busy, but lonely to him, corridor to dock E4 of Deneb Meditation to sell his nation specific ships. A substantial profit, but it was as if you burned the Itani pilot's soul by taking his ships away.
"Good-day, sir, what may I help you with," asked the chubby dockhand.
"I'd like to sell those four ships on the far side of the COI designated area of this dock," replied Sraer to a dumbfounded, but silent dockhand.
The silent dockhand got to work with the paperwork, and adding up the credit amount while Sraer watched the Tridents unloading war prisoners and cargo.
"Okay, just sign at the bottom of all four papers and I will award you with your credits.
"Thank you. In addition to the sale, I'd like to buy a regular Valkyrie, with a fast charge power cell and two raven ion blasters. Keep the extra 500 credits for your swift service."
The dockhand nodded, showed him to the new valkyrie, and equipped the weapons and power cell as Sraer chose a paint color.
"White...as usual."
The chubby dockhand finished equipping the weapons as Sraer got into the factory default white Valkyrie. He performed the usual checklists and diagnostics, then awaited the launch signal.
Sraer could only think of where to go now (the only faction that truly wanted his services now was Orion where maybe he could be a mining escort) as he boosted for the Eo wormhole.

My first RP, comments and criticism welcome!

After he passed through the Eo wormhole, Sraer was constantly confronted by convoy escorts, some of which knew him. They didn’t want to risk losing their jobs, however, by ignoring the new regulations about certain pilots. Sraer slowly passed by each convoy at 3000 feet away to each jump point in Eo, Cantus, and Metana. The only stops he made were to set home stations.
It was in a supposedly safe jump that Sraer realized he had plotted his course through Setalli Shinas incorrectly and would end up in a full blown hive sector. Twice the number of queens, twice the number of overseers, thrice the number of combat and mining bots. As soon as his warp was completed and the computer gave him control again, he started hearing frantic calls over the comm. radio. The pilots were severely outnumbered, many new to the job of hive-hunting.
The explosions were everywhere, there was cargo bumping into everything, fighters flashing by and being pursued by hive ships. The trident was even doing its part more than usual. It was concerning itself with taking out the queens’ overseers. Here we go, time to earn my standing back, thought Sraer.
“All Itani pilots, transmissions received, my help is here whether you want it or not.”
He boosted over to some obviously new-to-the-job pilots. Opening chain fire on his peers’ pursuers, Sraer showed no mercy for the ruthless bots. The black abyss lit up with Raven Ion Blaster fire and Neutron MKIII fire from the hive-suppression forces, making an aura of heaven in their eyes.
Suddenly, an overseer moved too close to Sraer, who bumped the hive bot. Sraer over-corrected which caused him to take several severe hits to his engine and port armament.
He turned to boost back to the Trident for repairs and ran into three Valents just as he was about to dock. Man, the levi really wants this sector! he thought. After destroying two of the hive bots and critically damaging the third, he docked.
That last bot's Biocom blue hull, however, hadn't gone unnoticed.

More on the way. Feel free to PM in-game or post here if you want your char in it. I will have a PDF after I finish the final chapter, whenever that'll be, not soon though.

Sraer got out of his cockpit and asked for a quick repair. The melted metal and various scratches tainting the hull of his "naked" ship were worse than the diagnostic systems reported. He walked a little ways in the dock, observing the actions of pilots and dockhands alike, when a crew member walked up to him.
"Your presence is requested on the bridge...sir," said the officer hesitantly.
"Ah, I see my age finally caught someone off guard. That's okay, no hard feelings, not many 15 year old pilots in the void. Well, to the bridge," replied Sraer.
The corridors were hives of activity. Ammunition, power cells, and blasters were being hurried down to the dock and turrets. Several captured and deactivated hive bots were being pushed on carts to temporary research centers in the aft of the dwarf capital vessel. Wounded Itani were being rushed to the infirmary where the majority would survive and have no signs of injury when healed to the best extent of Itani surgeons.
After turning two corners, going up three flights of stairs and passing two security checkpoints, the two silent monks reached the door to the bridge. This might be the worst choice I've made in a while said Sraer. The pair stepped into the bridge. Holo-panels showed a range of colorful patterns on the floor, messages and alerts beeped and sounded, faces of commanders and soldiers everywhere, networks of the Itani financial statement and troop movements on two particular panels. All of this technology commanded by the captain.
Stern faced, dressed in an Itani blue and white garb that is the uniform of captains on the lower type of capital ships, the captain spoke in a deep voice.
"You realize you broke laws by helping us, right?"
"I sure did, sir, but with good intentions for my nation at heart."
At that, the captain suppressed a laugh.
"I knew you were worth speaking to. I have a Proposition for you."
"Yes, sir. As long as you tell me why the hive ships out there have Biocom blue hulls."
"Upon entering the sector, all ships have a script that sends their flight plan to the highest ranking, pre-approved ship captains. Yours has you going to the Orion station in Dau. I would like to transport you there if you can first help me bypass the Biocom security at that station in Dau. If you do, I will raise all of the laws broken in this sector by you and award you with 120 faction points for the risk."
"I'll take you up on that proposition, and 120 standing points, that's a nice chunk. But you still haven't answered my question. Why are the hive ships out there wearing Biocom blue?"
