I beg to differ. Yoda doublecrossed me!
And I thought the guild was dead already...

in the pirate/merc hierarchy it goes something like this:
1. BLAK
9. CLM
49. SKY
50. THC
other less active/inactive guilds fill in the blank
edit: sorry rating from highest to lowest respected :)

JB, you lose all credibility with your audience when you make a wildly overblown assertion like [SKY]/Peytros > [THC]/Yodaofborg
No law school for you.
No law school for you.
[SKY]/Peytros > [THC]/Yodaofborg
I must say Dr. Lecter, no engineering school for you: that division supports JB's point.
(When using math symbols, don't interject english symbols. It's bad form).

so.. we're redirecting output from Peytros into Yoda? poor guy.

Thankfully, Atice, I've completed a professional degree and started putting it to good use. But I'll remember that advice if I ever want to do something as wasteful of my time and money as going back to school to learn a trade "science" like engineering.
I think you've smacked the Devs on this one as well as myself. Computer Science follows under the umbrella of engineering... not to mention it's not a "trade" unless you go to a less-than-reputable school.
And just as long as you don't deal with tech law-suits, you should be alright.

Correction: so long as I don't prosecute patents, I'll be fine.
And it's a trade school regardless: otherwise, one would be getting a Ph.D. in the mathematics, physics, or chemistry fundamentals that undergird your trade (computer "science," electrical/mechanical/civil engineering, etc.).
Which is not to knock trades per se; clearly practicing law, rather than getting a Doctor of Laws degree and becoming a legal theory academic, is a trade. The difference to me is that law is entirely artificial, so there's no difference between being a practitioner or an academic; civil engineering, however, is simply applied physics. If you like and are good at physics, why waste your time applying the same rules time and again (thankfully, my practice tends to involve novel issues, so I don't have that problem as a lawyer--DUI defense must be deadly dull, though)? Physics is the study of how the universe works, something not entirely artificial--the academics have the upper hand in such an area.

THC > SKY
BLAK can't be #1, it's inactive! Unless it's working behind the curtains in which case we still wouldn't know what they're up to.
Also, wtf is SKY??
And, medicine ftw!!! Engineering and law got nothing on it.
...
Though, there's the mala praxis law-suits.
And engies can build sentries in front of hospitals.

Computer science is not software engineering. Computer science is an academic field. Software engineering is a trade. People who make really cool stuff like VO know some of each.
Back on topic... they're all targets, but out of the current bad guys, I'd prefer to be shooting at CLM.

But you're far more likely to survive an encounter with [SKY].
[sky] is far more likely to run away.
THC rules, it say's so in the rules that are posted at http://thc.vo-noobs.com/index.php?topic=5.0 and if no name wants to enforce the fact that THC rules, thats fine by me, but we do rule.
Tunnel snakes rule!
SLANDER AND LIES SLANDER AND LIES
Engineering is more than just application of Physics to solve problems, no matter what you say.
That said, there's no division in boolean terms, and any engineer worth his salt would recognize those slashes as elements to indicate the affiliation of the last-named player with the aforementioned guild.
Use of conflicting signs is okay if meaning is clearly deductible.
