I'm think it's a play to get the event working again, which from what I've heard, hasn't happened in weeks.
Peytros reminds me of myself, just... without inhibitions. I have an annoying habit of trying not to act like an asshole.

It has actually gone rather smoothly and only been truly interrupted in such a fashion at Ecka's last hosting of the NW and this latest NW. Peytos has attempted to disrupt the NW between those two times but it has finished with an official ending. Albeit due to those that know the location of the NW and not giving him the location and the participants fighting him off.

Sorry Surb. It would have been more graceful for me to have started this conversation ingame and for not doing this I am sorry. I had hoped that my posts were adequately flat but perhaps they were not.
The thing is that, unfortunately, I have come to believe that your continued hosting will catalyze the implosion of NW. For this reason and this reason only I submit my candidacy. Two people are banned now. I fear that that number will balloon to completely unmanageable levels if nothing changes.
Peytros has in no way been "payed off" and the devil only knows what he will really do. Additions to the game that would allow players to enforce control of a sector would be most welcome. But, in general, I prefer less hostile ways of achieving harmony.

The banning of Ardenus as far as I was concerned was banning him until the Nation War after the next. Peytros however is a problem that will crop up multiple times in various places with many faces. You can only pursue the path of peace until you find one that wishes for no peace. I would like peace and believe it can be reached but to yield and give into the aggressor's demands without at least some sort of compensation besides the obvious agreement on peace, I cannot agree if they are unwilling to show the respect I am giving them to talk to them. Sure if you want to host, you have the ability and can change it how you see fit and whether the contestants agree.
I don't know why people are screaming at me about officially saying who's the next host when all I say is, "Would the next person that really wants to host the NW ask?", since it seems that the same people are saying you're the next host. I said it before, you can demand it and host it, it's not like I'm going wage a vendetta over this, but don't expect me to willingly acknowledge it especially if you demand it in a rude manner. I'm not sure if they think I have sponsorships or something and I don't, but simply put just ask if you want me to acknowledge it or don't and host it anyway.

Regardless, I'm glad that you will no longer disrupt nation war, drawing players away from the event to repeatedly kill you so that the event can come off without disruption. Those players want to PLAY, not be watchdogs.
And I think peyclown is an excellent specimen to experiment on with novel ways of keeping this kind of player from ruining the fun of other players.

It's really easy to make a point when you remove all of the counterpoints from the conversation, isn't it? I think you've made my point anyway. I think you guys need to take a step back. Stop looking at how it's gone and look at how it's going right now, acknowledge that it's gotten a little out of your hands and the way you're dealing with it clearly isn't working.
It's easy to counter the point by avoiding the point.

I'm not sure what indication Ecka or I have given to suggest no one else is hosting the Nation War but as I stated, "I already said now and before that if you really want to host, all you have to do is ask. Sure you can jump up and demand it but what right should I or anyone give it to someone who has been given respect and have it taken away when they show none in return?", basically ask or take whichever but only one of those will garner respect from me and from the looks of those that are bickering over this I highly doubt they care about my respect towards them.

There are many tangents and inconsistencies in this thread to comment on. I'll dive back in later but for now I'd just like to declare electoral victory. My thanks to Surbius for promising to allow this to be a peaceful transition and to those who advocated change for their support.

I guess ill throw my two cents in here, id greatly support maalik as nation war host, hell id even consider donating to the pot once in a while. no promises though, i'm kinda lazy and have a habit of not logging in for days
I will pop extra voys with ya maal to help fund the event when i can.
