Good bye CLM, I'm sorry you died. I tried and tried to help you to realize your dreams, but in the end my efforts and yours weren't enough. Some day we'll all look back on this day and suddenly realize yes, we could have saved CLM, but we weren't fast enough, we weren't smart enough.

It started thus: An ingenious pirate made a LOT of money, then retired for a time, entrusting his earnings to his guild. All was well until a trusted member made off with all of it, but again, all was well because the leadership allowed him to return home, minus most of the money. But that's ok, The commander's word is gold and no one will complain. Right?

Except an itch, perhaps less, perhaps a slight inkling too small for most to detect drove the ingenious pirate to leave retirement and return to the fray. He was welcomed back by his guild, despite the commander being away indefinitely.

He returned with verve, dispatching targets with enthusiasm and skill, rarely but inevitably losing ships. He needs funds to carry on, but they are safe in the CLM bank for the day of his need aren't they?

No, sadly no.

And, while our erstwhile pirate can accept the loss, he finds he's unable to accept the reasoning (excuse) for the loss of his life savings. It was meant to go to good causes: Stations, Capital ships, Combat. Instead it was lost to a thief. And, while the thief was recovered and forgiven, the loss was not. How could any self respecting pirate not question this?

And So I Did.

The result? I was expelled from CLM. Ejected from my home and my friends for questioning Mystic Rogue's Questionable leadership. It started as a gentle inquiry, and ended with a public and perhaps inevitable fallout between two of the greatest pirates ever to fly the depths.

So what is left for a pirate with no home and no friends and no path? He must join a greater guild and show CLM his rejection was a mistake.

Alas, there is no greater guild than CLM.

I am forced then, to retire once more, and find my joy in books and puzzles and study and hope...

Hope merely that I can stand to never fly again.

Yes yoda took money, 1.2 billion to be exact, and when it came back there was a little over 900 million. Tumble had told me to put the funds to good use, part of that use was a donation I gave to Ecka on behalf of CLM for the Nation War, we hosted a few events ourselves, so this explains part of the money.

As for me not being ingame, I may not have logged in to fly due to Real Life issues, but I have always been in contact with my officers via the CLM forums. I wont apologize for the fact that I realize that Real Life comes first before a game. Those that need to know, know why I have been absent so much.

Now last night when tumble and I had our words, he makes it sound like it was something simple and he was the poor victim. Anyone that knows tumble will get a good laugh out of this alone.

CLM is fine, despite what tumble may want people to believe, or what he may even believe himself.

It was simple. I asked where the money went, you got mad and kicked me. No victims here except CLM.

Guys I think we're being unappreciative of this noble martyr's efforts to save a guild that apparently exploded into flames and destruction as soon as he was kicked. And I can't help but get angry at his swift expulsion after he expressed his sentiments in what I feel sure was a calm, collected, and selfless fashion.

Good luck Tumble. We have had our good times and our bad times but they have always remained fairly interesting. You clearly have legitimate reasons to leave CLM and I wish you luck on your new guild.

As for CLM, well Mysty your a great person and I really hope your RL issues are fixed. However, I do feel that if CLM is to remain a driving pirate force it needs an active commander. So not sure what to do there...
