GUILD WARS take 2
Guild wars will be held this friday 10pm EST.

is 10pm EST too late? Not that I'm in a guild, but it works better in my schedule... Just a thought.

You wont see any Europeans in your war, most of us are asleep at that time.
Test the time for that day, see how many show up, try another time and day, you can't appease everyone, and remember to advertise.

That time's too late for me most of the time. Only on certain weeks could I make it.
Ok, so I'm at the "please some of people, some of the time". Probably cant please all the people all the time. But there is one other option... rather than a set day/time, I could hold guild wars on a random day and time and announce it early that day.
If you do it before or after NW one of the two days, both will be popular.
Thats a good idea. Oh, also... if any one or any guild is interested in donating to the prize feel fee to contact me or any one from PA in game.
After a late start (10:30 EST instead of 9), the results are in: [CHRN] + [CLM] took the pot, which was 22.5 million this week.

The fight proceeded swiftly with CHRN and PA meeting right away. After dispatching Ryan, Solten and Mr. Spuck, the CHRN team proceeded to chase Nahin around the race track until finally bringing him down.

Guilds who have only one member online at the time of GW may team up with another guild.
Scheduling for GW 3 will be discussed in some other post by someone else.

Sorry about the late start every one, baby had a bad dream right before I was ready to kick things off. At any rate... Thanks to CHRN, CLM, PA and SoR for showing up!

To every one who participated, thanks for showing up and I hope you all enjoyed yourselves. To clarify one point though... I have no intention of banning a guild for use of X on 1 tactics when the people involved in said X on 1 are the only participants left, or in any situation actually... it is after all, group combat and one should expect group tactics. Although some people may think the use of group tactics is unfair, it actually would be unfair to ban a guild for superior use of group tactics.
As for the claim that FusionBurn teaming with CHRN gave CHRN an unfair advantage... that is just ridiculous. CHRN with the addition of FusionBurn had exactly four members which is equal to the total number of PA and SoR. The simple fact is that in this case, CHRN and FusionBurn made excellent use of group tactics and they will not be penalized for it.
After careful deliberation, the new rule stands. It is in the same spirit that I allow one or two non guilded players to join a guild group or if there are at least four give them the option of forming their own "non guild group", in this fashion people with out a guild or people who belong to a guild but do not have enough members online can still enjoy GUILD WARs. Thus, GUILD WARs becomes an event that the whole community can take part in.
Also, it has become apparent that I need to explain how this works. Its quite simple...
Guild A has 5 members. Guild B has 4 members. Guild C has 7. C is wiped out by A and B. A and B fight until A has 1 member left. Guild B now has the option to either engage in 4 on 1 combat or 1 on 1 combat.
I do not expect to hear complaining that a player was ganged up on in a situation where it is essentially gang warfare.
Due to continuous complaining in PMs, on 100 and guild chat as well as conduct unbecoming, blatant disrespect and generally un-sportsman like attitudes...
Nahin Lor is forbidden from taking part in the next Guild War. If he can learn to control his temper and emotions in the future he may partake of future GUILD WARs.

Sadly Guild wars is temporarily suspended... the funding aspect is bankrupting me and I dont want to keep taking funds from the guild bank. If I can get more public funding it will be back soon.

for non-guilded characters, if there is enough of them... I let them do their own group if there is only a few, I ask guild groups to allow them to join them.
