I'll tell you guys what. When Impavid and Peytros both admit that the turrets are not ruining the game and that all of the traders are not hiding behind them in Dau or nation space (which was the rant that inspired me) I will relent.

I dont want to stop you... I want more people to trade in grey, my point is simply that trading in grey is not that big a deal lots of us in PA trade in grey, regardless of pirate activity. I see a dozen or so newbs a week in Atlases through out grey trading their little newb hearts out.

I agree Ryan. The only reason I started this thread was because Impavid and Peytros were going on one night about how all of the traders hide in UIT space, particularly Dau and how the turrets there ruin the game because traders are making a fortune without taking risks. Its not about how great I am or how much I trade, its about putting a huge spotlight on the irrationality of those complaints. What we need are more active players, not trying to force everyone into a mold.

Hell, as Retractile, I made a ton of scores off of Serco and Itani newbs trading in UIT space. And even some UIT when they hit a station they were below admire at. I tried to limit that since UIT by default is more dangerous for newbs than Serco or Itani space though. Faction Management is da bomb! Hell, look at folks like Genka who when active regularly patrols Verasi and Nyrius. I wouldn't call him a pirate, but I'm sure he has a nice score relative to the population.

A good win for CHRN today. Had a great time with Ardenus chasing me. Paid him 500,000cr for being a great sport and in principle. It shows his honor that despite being told it wasn't intended as payment, he chose not to pursue me after that. My loss really. Will keep that in mind next time :P

Tumble scored a nice jump kill at Latos O12. Got to work a bit more on my jump evasion. I was rather sloppy there. But I'm sure tumble enjoyed the kill for all the grief I've been giving him lately.

We moved on to Odia where I kept tumble and Ardenus (I suppose I should count k'metric though he isn't CHRN) occupied at the wh's doing real pirating. I hope they didn't think I was looking to go past them as keeping them occupied was my intention.

You know what people can thank you for, Death Fluffy, is actually goading me into pirating people in grey. Usually I'm just around for PvP in Sedina unless we have some group action going on. But no, now we're "defending grey" and I went out and boomed some unfortunates.

I Would have to disagree with Shape on one point. That one pirate can't hunt down a chosen single target...if you're cunning you can and to multiple specific chosen targets and gain some creds. Speaking from experience.

Division, Grey space is supposed to be dangerous. Last I checked, Grey encompassed a hell of a lot more than b8. Sorry to have made you do some real work there buddy :P

well ret clearly when you pirated in uit you could not be uit kos and you could not shoot people who where uit admired so it was safe for people who already had good standing. popping newbs and popping traders is two different things

As it should be. I was selectively targeting new and experienced players who had not achieved admired status. Besides, you and Impavid keep telling us all the traders are hiding in UIT. What better place to hunt.

I don't know for certain where the traders hide but I do see very few in grey space. I have seen numerous traders in Serco and Itani space as well as UIT though.

I see them everywhere. Unfortunately, its spread out through the day, whereas most of the active pirates seem to congregate during the US evening. It comes down to Lets get this thing to Vs 2.0 already and make with the advertising so we can attract more players.

Well, even though CLM isn't part of this thread (never mind I was planning to drop this thread and move on), I'm just going to have to give tonights win to them. Fusionburn really kicked some ass out there tonight. VGF's m8. I guess thats why I paid CLM 5 mil in advance to stay out of my way against CHRN last week. Sadly, CHRN was forced to leave the field of battle to make repairs. And apparently was so terrified of a harmless trader that they were backpedaling as fast as their little legs could take them.

Great fights all around, mostly from CLM and non guilded participants. K'metric showed his metal as well, providing a fine showing. Along with some newcomer highfish? Ah well, he knows who he/she is. Didn't really get much action with Moo Cow. Maybe next time.
