Wasn't sure if it was ok to post this here...?
Zakxifor and I are starting a new guild, based in UIT space.
We will by known as 'Synthesis', with the tag [SNTH]. So far we have four members, but we require ten before we can make the guild official.
We will be doing a bit of everything, with emphasis depending on our member base once we reach ten members. We are not a pirate guild.
We are looking for mature and friendly members who want to work together with other people on occassion.
If anyone is interested in joining a new guild please take a look at our forum: http://www.vosynthesis.proboards.com/
Post an application in the Recruitment board if you would like to join.
We offer a financial incentive for players that are new to the game, to help get them on their feet. Once you are a member you will gain access to the members only area, and be given our guild channel number.
If you want to talk to us on behalf on your guild please register on our forum and post in the Diplomacy board.
Thanks for listening. :)

The RP forum: find it, post in it, and stay the Hell out of here in it.
Lecter, [REMOVED. You crossed the line there Zam. -Whistler]
Troll someone worth trolling.
Welcome to the Boards, Restayvien. Just ignore the trolls.

This thread does belong in the Role Playing forum. I'll move it shortly.
Thanks Whistler.
Aww, Whistler, I was hoping to read and mock Zam's post :P
Is it wrong that I am also curious?
I was too. I propose that zamzx's comment be un-redacted. You're just protecting him from his own stupidity, which is far more than he deserves ; )
I too, was curious. :P
So...anyone actually interested in joining our guild? We still need five more members!

No, Restayvien, no one is interested in joining. Why would anyone want to join a "Guild full of noobs who have no clue what they're doing, and so fly around in circles in the UIT capital for hours on end"?
Your concept of Guild seems to imply that it is an organization similar to a facebook group. Unsurprisingly, this concept is utterly incorrect. A guild in Vendetta is actually fairly similar to the guilds of pre-industrialized society, i.e.:
Guild:
1. An association of men belonging to the same class, or engaged in kindred pursuits, formed for mutual aid and protection; a business fraternity or corporation; as, the Stationers' Guild; the Ironmongers' Guild. They were originally licensed by the government, and endowed with special privileges and authority. [1913 Webster]
My dictionary is getting worn out from smacking you idiots unconscious with it. I suggest you go get your own and preemptively figure out what words mean before you use them.

oy. be nice ladron!
Restayvien... gotta get more newbs on the Role Playing forum in order for people to latch on. I'll admit your guild idea isn't one too interesting to the veteran players among us. The thing is, most newbs don't actually get on the forums immediately. Go proselytize in-game!

Yeah, sadly all your guild idea is going to do here is get trolled relentlessly. Make some placards or something and hit the streets! And don't be too offended by the trolls, they don't represent the major part of our community. Most of us are sane, friendly, intelligent, and highly attractive.
Ladron stop being an asshat. Trying to look big by talking down to other people just makes you look ridiculous, it's not as if being a veteran VO player is all that much to brag about.
[/wasting time with ladron]

Aticephyr thanks for the advice, I have been talking to newer players in-game to see if they want to join up. I find it strange that new players stay away from the forum, but I suppose with people like Lector and Ladron waving their e-peens around it's no suprise. :P

Hah I get that impression. Shame though, it won't help the game grow. And yeah...I forget there are so many of them around, the one forum I've stuck to for the past 6 or 7 years just throws out the tards, partially because I ban them myself. :D

I'll join your guild!
The troll's trolling just shows you how desperate they are for attention. Don't bother even looking at the posts a second time.
I agree with Shlim and Aticephyr. Your best bet is to advertise in game. Try to communicate with the new players as you pass em by in UIT space.
You can also make recruitment bulletins and broadcast (IN MODERATION) on 100 or nation chat. If you broadcast your guild too much, you will get some backlash and negative feedback.
Good luck.

You could also make a Station News item here: http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/7/21819
Might just do that, thanks.
Restayvien, best bet is to play the game for a bit, then get together a bunch of like-minded folks and make the guild happen. The best guilds kind of just "fall together" from people who play at the same time and are interested in doing the same things.
I won't join your guild (yet) but I've been in more guilds than anyone else in this game, so I count myself as an expert.

Actually, Leebs, I think Borb holds the record on having been in more guilds than anyone else :D
