Older events...
I can remember back in the earlier days of my account there was an event that happened where teams of 2 fighters would go to sedina and battle it out in a kind of elimination tournament of some kind. Still, that was some time ago, so I've a few questions...
1: What was it called? I'm sure at least someone out there can remember.
2: Are the results still lying around?
3: Did any more happen afterwards?
4: Will there be any more?
And for your information, that was July time 2007/8. Can't quite remember.

Sounds like the Ultimate Wingman Tournament or something like that. It's in the news items still in-game. As for the rest of your questions, dunno.

VPR has been planning on hosting another one, but it has been delayed a few times. I'll look into setting it up.

Yeah, UWT, that was the name. Thanks for fishing the results out for me strat, i appreciate it.
Although thinking about it, are there enough VPRs around to host it still? I've seen one in the past weeks.
Then again, I haven't been paying much attention.
/me wanders off trying to see if Sraer's still around...

Yes, VPR is one of the most active guilds in the game... A lot of people have just taken some time off these last few weeks for the holiday season. Plus, it only takes a single Viper to host an event.

I don't have hard numbers, but I would guess CHRN, TGFT, PA, ONE, ITAN and maybe even THC are in front of VPR in terms of activity, probably in that order. Then again, there are a couple hundred registered guilds which haven't had a player log in in 3 years, so for some value of "one of" I suppose you are still correct.

PA? and ITAN? Seriously? I havn't seen much activity from them in months. But getting back to the point, I'd love to see another UWT.
itan is still active we get about ~4 players login a day
I login once a month to prove that [PA] is still an active guild.
Oh and I think that Gavan should return to host it again. He'll soon have hordes descending on Vancouver, so retreating into his protective burrow to play a little VO would be good for him. :)

Ahem... active guilds? Hello? For several months before the last mmorpg.com promo, ORE kept winning the most-members-online-at-once with a meager 4 players. Maybe I need to host the "Ultimate Wing-Mine Tournament" where teams of 2 group mine for most xp, most cu's, and most credits earned....
I don't dispute that, CD, but that was months ago. I haven't seen more than the odd ORE here or there recently. That isn't to say they *aren't* active, but I didn't list them because one could make a legitimate case that VPR is more active than ORE.
