OK I am a fairly new Serc getting bored enough to suggest a persistent contest between Itani and Serco in Deneb. Something any one of us could jump in and have an impact on any time we play.

As I brainstorm it....

Serco Victory Conditions: Be first to control 72 Deneb sectors
Itani Victory Conditions: Be first to control 60 Deneb sectors

Do you think this is fair?

As of March 14 7 a.m. GMT...

Serco current holdings are 53 sectors.
Itani current holdings are 44 sectors.

I guess one could take a screen shot to verify the status of sectors or loosely verify a win. If this gets bigger we might need better confirmation of a win.
Presumably something like this could take weeks to resolve and thus give us all a mission to work on whenver we like.

Even if the Itani don't want to play we could do this against the AI...might need to toughen the victory conditions....
Thoughts? Do my victory conditions look fair but also doable for either side?

Whatever the flaws in this scenario...we can improve on them.

Arright it looks like the number of controlled sectors dropped drastically today on both sides... So I will just call that mission above a draw.

Maybe it is better for the victory conditions to be a percentage of controlled sectors.

Obviously some sectors show blue for Itani control, red for Serco control. I'll call those "conquered sectors."

Revised victory conditions:

Serco control 75% of conquered sectors in Deneb = Serc victory
Itani control 60% of conquered sectors in Deneb = Itani victory

I'm going to go in there and start chipping away in this direction for the sercs.... stop me or join me if you like.

Deneb worked a lot better for PvP when it was all C-10, all the time.

Well I guess I made that a little too easy...sercs are already at 73%

well lets see if we can make it to 75. 2 sercs came to help me to day but no itanis would fight us.

The pro augmentation group, now calling themselves the Serco (SIR-ko), hails the successes of science. The opposing group, now referred to as the Itani (It-ah-nee)... yada yada yada

The term "Sercos" isn't used once in the backstory, although don't take my word for it...

I'm pretty sure the plural of "Serco" is "Serco". Same for "Itani".

A Serco.
Two Serco.
A Serco gun.
Serco to try for 72 sectors in Deneb. Itani dare to stop them.

Alternatively, Sercan works well for objects belonging to Serco.

Serco will need 80% of sectors to win
Itani only need 45% to win

I'll be on the overnights of March 15-17, just msg me in the game if you'd like to join the battle or kill me. But I'm not going to do much to help you kill me. If you want to win...conquer sectors or stop us (both human and AI Sercos) from conquering them.

Itani winning for now.

There was however a colorful battle in which a player named ccaspar and another Serco whose name begins with "Sera" turned the tides against a 2-to-1 numerical advantage by the Itani...they apparently took down a capitol ship. I forget the sector and time.
