Great race all. Thanks for hosting, Sagrath.
=== THE IDEA ===
Since i started playing VO, entering Itani Space trying to kill CTC voys was one of my fav business. I began to think that doing a Deneb Run being KOS will be challenging.
Diggin in the forums I found that yodaofborg was the first who raced being KOS (Deneb Run number 142), and he managed to reach the finish line.
I did some practice and decided that racing being KOS would be both funny and feasible.
For me that looked like an almost perfect way to balance the race (double KOS players still have a 'little' disadvantage). I decided to fund a huge prize money trying to attract the attention of both racers and hunters.....
The result? Well you have to tell me... ;)
===THE RACERS===
Four racers took the start at M14, all four of them Serco KOS.
- ARF_01, ITAN, Grayhound
- Bruncu Spina, ACE, Hog II
- Nahin Lor, PA scum, Greyhound
- Thespian, ITAN, Greyhound
===THE RACE===
It was Nahin who took the holeshot, but Thespian managed to overtake him and entered Sedina leading the pack. Nahin had an early encounter with a hunter and was left to 3%. Bruncu was in third position followed by ARF.
Positions kept unchanged until Ukari where Nahin docked for reps and hit a storm while racing for the WH being relegated to fourth place.
All racers managed to enter red space and stay alive. ARF in a daring but wrong decision took the route through Pyronis, the rest chose Rhamus.
As they reached Sol II it was Thespian who led, followed by Bruncu and ARF. Both Thespian and ARF were killed by turret fire as they entered SOL II.
Positions kept unchanged for a while, both Bruncu and Nahin reached Itani space, Bruncu had a good lead but his hull was down to 14%.
Nahin had another encounter with hunters in Deneb but managed to survive and docked in Eo, changing his Hound for an IDF Vigilant (remember Sagrath DOESN'T like banning things ;) ). He began to close on the leadership but hit another storm in Setalli.
Bruncu reached Itan leading, but Nahin managed to close the gap and took the lead while crossing Pherona.
Nahin entered Grey space, he encountered hunters both in Edras and Pelatus but managed to stay alive (down to 54%). Bruncu docked for reps before entering Grey space (remember he was at 14% since Betheshee).
Lot of hunters flocked to Odia as both racers were traveling towards the finish line. Nahin reached M14 leading and docked safely. Bruncu was killed in the finish sector by Maalik, &c.
FIRST EVER KOS DENEB RUN CHAMPION, [PA] Nahin Lor, 30M prize money, grats to the winner
[CHRN] Maalik, &c earned 20M by killing Bruncu Spina.
