Notes - And what a bump back to earth that was, hehe. Ritter made that look so easy, and boy do I need to practise using flares. I think I've gotten too used to fighting with just blasters in a Vulture right enough. Thankyou pilot, very good indeed!

Notes - Lasted a little bit longer that time but it could only have been by a few seconds, if that. lol. Although I think I may have managed to detonate one flare reasonably close-by, but only the one mind you. hehe. Again Ritters cool head and skillful flying came shining through, I was witnessing a completely different level of pilot here, and no mistake. I'm not sure why but I had a lot of trouble seeing when any flares had been launched, probably just me not concentrating enough. Thankyou Ritter, that was a complete pleasure!

Queens various
Location - Sedina and Odia
Ship - CorVult, Rag MkIII, Marauder Mercenary
Power - Fast Charge
Loadout - (AAP, NB MkII) then (CSML x 2, Gems x 3) then (AAP, NB MkII x 2)

Notes - Outside of PvP that has got to be *the* best afternoon I've spent in the VO universe to date, was well 'ard.
Faille taught me the finer points of attacking Queens but it wasn't until about our fourth or fifth that I managed to have any success at bringing down the Queens shields by stacking my missiles. Hooohaaa!
After we'd boomed the Queens from different sectors and cleared the two systems we went looking for the Leviathan. And what a strange creature the Levi is, guarded by a number of her own Queens and their bouncers.
We slotted quite a few of the Levi's escorts including Assaults, Guardians, Overseers and Milanar Stronghold Assaults etc. as well as a couple of the Queens along the way. Our final attack was supposed to be a coordinated strike against one of the Queens but it didn't go exactly to plan as we ended up targeting different Queens as there were about three of them attacking a single cappie, good practise though.
I really wish we'd had a good group radar or even an awacs type ship that could have coordinate our efforts, pickling enemy targets for simultaneous joint attacks. Or maybe I just need to get myself a mic/headset combo for voice comms?
I can be a stubborn arse at times and had visions of Faille pulling her hair out on more than one occasion, I was just very lucky to have such an endlessly patient and understanding teacher. Thankyou Faille!

You're definitely short-changing yourself, Woodlander.
When TRS taught me, I had his Trident on hand for infinite, free reloads (and TRS's Trident was NOT being attacked at the time...), and I'd read-up on the technique before hand as well.
Our coordinated bomb-run may have targeted different Queens, but both Queens were struck simultaneously, and that showed you can co-ordinate a bombing run just fine. There's only ever one Levi, so targeting the wrong Levi is not an issue ('cept when a pilot targets a turret on the Levi, rather than the Levi itself...).
Add to that my poor typing/communicating skills, and you still got it down pat in short order.
I look forward to dropping a Levi with you, and always enjoy flying with you :)

Hopefully next time there'll be some more pilots on our Levi hunting exped, can't wait, looking forward to it. And I'll try to remember to bring a bottle too, to celebrate once we've slotted the Levi of course. ; )

This seems like as good a time as any to draw this thread to a close as I've now reached the point in my VO career where it doesn't make a hole lot sense to be detailing every mission, well not publicly anyway.
