Espionage: A History
Sol II Library Archive: 32904463
Originally a devout Nationalistic infiltrator of the Itani Nation, the individual identified as 'Espionage' was betrayed by his most trusted confidant and long-time Serco informant who later changed his call-sign to 'Diplomacy' as a metaphorical symbol of the betrayal.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that the rift between the two pilots started as a love triangle between the pilots and a young Serco trader, other reports suggest it was ideological, whilst others have theorised that both pilots discovered the secret location of the order of Akan and were brainwashed for their trouble. Whatever the reason, the betrayal of Espionage was a pivotal point in the pilot's life that shaped the face of things to come in the known universe.
The betrayal of Espionage was strategically executed to be discovered by the then independent and most maniacal Itani pilot identified as 'CrazySpence'. Using reverse engineered Serco psychological programming, CrazySpence sought to create the ultimate infiltrator and assassin to counter the the abomination known as 'Footballprophet' and commonly referred to as the 'Bastard of Itan'.
CrazySpence's efforts were to ultimately create 'The Bastard of Sol II', a pilot so maniacal and so devastatingly evil that they would be locked in perpetual combat until they (hopefully) destroyed each other. Speculation about CrazySpence's involvement in the original outcasting of Footballprophet have remained unconfirmed to this day, some suggest that CrazySpence was trying to cover his tracks, others suggest that both pilots are evidence of CrazySpence's extensive experimentation with Serco technology.
The result was a devastating piratical maniac with ambition beyond CrazySpence's wildest imagination. To CrazySpence's horror (or perhaps to his maniacal glee) , Espionage's psychological programming was ineffective in achieving the infiltration of La Familia and the assassination of Footballprophet. It also damaged his ability to communicate to the extent that almost every word in a sentence would be a garbled and near incomprehensible mixture of this language or that.
Instead, CrazySpence's efforts resulted in the the creation of a near indestructible team.
Footballprophet flying Valkryie X-1 and Espionage in a Serco SkyCommand Prometheus obliterating traders, nationalists, miners alike with loud screams across the comm-line of 'FAMY' and 'lulz'. There are those who speculate this was the intention of CrazySpence all along and he in fact achieved his ideal outcome, others point out the fact that CrazySpence himself and his comrades in the Coalition of Itan arguably suffered the most from the pair of visciously destructive pilots and their piratical rampages. One thing was certain, the pair were absolutely devastating in combat and none who stood against them could temper their fury. Espionage and Footballprophet slaughtered countless pilots together, even publicly and notoriously competing for kills of this trader or that with utter glee.
As Espionage eventually became more comprehensible, more and more people noticed his obsession with the pilot 'Lisa201'. Some have speculated that Lisa201 was indeed the object of desire that created the rift between Espionage and Diplomacy, others simply suggest that his love obsession with Lisa201 was a result of the mind programming and several incidents where Espionage was exposed to radiation from custom and highly-illegal Trident Nuclear weaponry used by Lisa201 in encounters with Espionage. For whatever reason, the Lisa201 and Espionage were spotted cooperating on a number of ventures together, particularly aboard the Libere Natio where Lisa201's TGFT associates were often outraged about the association with such a notorious member of La Familia and the fact that he was allowed on board during a number of trade ventures.
La Familia had become an unprecedented threat to the safety of pilots throughout the 'verse with Espionage, Footballprophet, Savet Hegar, YT-1300, TheRedSpy, Aton Clavan, Litestar, Guerro and Maxx Metal as the core group of mafiosi at the center of the organization. Superstition, paranoia and fear swept through the 'verse like a tsunami even driving the Commander of the once reputed Phoenix Alliance, Interstellar, to complete and utter insanity.
Some commentators consider CrazySpence the master architect of the so-called "era of La Familia" because in the fury the Coalition of Itan was able to completely manipulate the Commanding officers of the Big Red One (ONE) Serco Military Wing to submit to Itani control of grey assets. Outraged by what was viewed as the pathetic submission of their comrades and the willingness to work side-by-side with Itani, many veterans and heroes of the Dominion fled the Big Red One.
With the Big Red One occupied fighting La Familia to defend assets for Itani production of capital vessels, the Coalition of Itan enjoyed absolute supremacy in the War in Deneb and an unrestricted supply of Purified Xithricite Ore for weapons production. The Big Red One became so preoccupied with La Familia and ensuring they fit into the Itani anti-pirate agenda, the Coalition of Itan was able to completely dominate in the 'verse and soon enough the Itani had the Guild of Free Traders, the Phoenix Alliance, The Vipers, The Big Red One, the Pirates of Pirates, Aces of Capital Empire, Orbital Rock Extraction and Skygge Vakter fighting on their behalf.
According to these commentators, CrazySpence's action in creating Espionage (and for some, even Footballprophet) was the greatest single stroke of manipulation of Serco military ideology in the history of the Galaxy. With the Serco Military focus being entirely on anti-piracy, and the Coalition of Itan's positioning being firmly pro-trade and anti-pirate, the Coalition of Itan completely dominated the 'verse as the shining beacon of hope against the dark, devious and notorious mafiosi of La Familia. Coalition numbers grew and grew as the great alliance eventually started moulding together as one great Itani coalition. The Coalition of Itan absorbed many of the smaller organisations such as the Pirates of Pirates, the remnants of Skagge Vakter and the withered husk of the Phoenix Alliance.
Only one organisation stood truly uncorrupted by the influence and ideological power-vacuum of the Coalition of Itan; the Bractus Liberation Front (BLF). Already occupied with the struggle for freedom in Bractus, the BLF found themselves besieged on multiple fronts. The charismatic and resourceful leader of the BLF, Lysander Leonidas, sought the help of La Familia, and licensed La Familia to sell easements for trade in the vast grey systems annexed by the BLF, and so was born the most profitable annexation enforcement scheme in the history of the Galaxy.
The war against the unstoppable fury of La Familia and their allies the BLF reached a pivotal stage, the greater Coalition of Itan struggled to control the cumbersome and overgrown alliance that it had become and corruption and mistrust began to emerge from within. Those Serco who stood against the corrupt leaders of the Big Red One began to emerge from the shadows of exile to join La Familia, viewing the greyspace alliance as the last hope for the end of Itani domination and the eventual destruction of the Itani image as the saviours and heroes of the 'verse. The great cyborg hero of the Dominion, Admiral Supreme and Ace of the SkyCommand Prometheus 'Mr. Chaos' was one such soldier.
The war raged on, La Familia growing in strength day by day, many battles were fought in greyspace most of which resulted in the consolidation of La Familia and the Big Red One slowly but gradually became accepted by all as allies of Itan in the great defence and recapture of greyspace stations for administration by the Coalition of Itan leaders ARF_01 and CrazySpence.
Time passed and Espionage became known as a truly fearsome pirate throughout the 'verse. Some went so far as to call Espionage the 'most notorious pirate' in the 'verse at that point in time. Otherwise independent traders sought membership to trade guilds on the basis of protection from Espionage and even some of the most anti-piratical and outspoken traders would pay the steep fee of 600,000c to avoid the wrath of Espionage. Some traders even paid Espionage for protection whilst being escorted by members of the Viper guild who aim to defend all from acts of piracy.
Amidst the fold a great leader and hero of the Dominion emerged from his quiet retirement as a miner with Orbital Rock Extraction. 'Mecha Touriaus', once an unstoppable and unmatched opponent and champion of the Serco had thought his talents and service were no longer necessary to the citizens of Sol II and the Dominion. Some have speculated the influence of mining magnate 'Conflict Diamond' were involved and that Mecha Touriaus was strategically distracted in a deal with the Coalition of Itan and Orbital Rock Extraction which saw Conflict Diamond able to build the first Trident Type M thanks to her arrangement with the Coalition. Some say that Conflict Diamond imprisoned Mecha Touriaus in the Compass Rose, others theorise that there was a romantic affair between the pair, none of these claims have ever been investigated further and both Conflict Diamond and Mecha Touriaus have never publicly commented about their relationship.
The UIT Senate in Dau has subsequently launched investigations into Conflict Diamond's involvement with Mecha Tourias' prolonged absence at the behest of BioCom Industries but the independent Senate tribunal established to investigate the affair has been plagued by scandal with several BioCom representative tribunal members being found dead in their quarters. Upon investigation it was found that both Axia Technology Corp and Valent Robotics were implicated in the alleged assassinations but both have denied the allegations against them and laid the blame squarely on the other company. Serco intelligence agents operating in Itani space have also reported several top Axia executive have received exclusive access to Itani military technology but these claims have yet to be substantiated.
Mecha Touriaus' return marked a turning point in the ideological domination of the Coalition of Itan, he started running operations with La Familia operatives to see first hand what the state of the Serco Military corruption was in greyspace. What he found enraged him. There are few witnesses to the founding of the Red Eternal Dominion military wing. Some say that the fury and rage of Mecha Touriaus in seeing Serco pilots of the Big Red One in treasonous cooperation with the pilots of the Coalition of Itan burned like the eternal sun of Sol II so brightly it cleansed the mind of Espionage, returning him to his former glory. This seems unlikely and is dismissed as mere common-folk superstition amongst leading Serco scientists.
They theorise that the re-emergence of the pilot 'Matriarch', fellow sleeper agent and pioneer of the original psycho-manipulation technology was able to counteract the effects of the reprogramming. None of this has been completely substantiated, but what we do know is that day Mecha Touriaus, Espionage and Matriarch stood as true Serco brothers and fought a battle against both the pilots of the Big Red One and the Coalition of Itan. In the midst of glorious victory, they formed the Red Eternal Dominion, and vowed that they would never again let the influence of the Itani blunt the hammer of the glorious Serco Dominion.

I recently closed down the Itani border with only four ships and killed everything that tried to make it through.
I also proved myself one of the deadliest fighters in the verse, when I made it nearly to the finals of the VO cup... without firing a shot.
