You may not return to the battle sector after you have left except to observe from a healthy distance in an EC-88 or EC-89.
No running from the asteroid field.

Apparently returning to a sector in an EC-89 still gets you killed :-/

Well, there is no rule against killing the busses, though it is frowned upon. This is because the actual participants should not have to worry about ensuring their target is a participant and is still in the game. It also helps ensure that observers stay out of the way. It's really annoying to be looking for an enemy to shoot, hit "target nearest", and have it pull up a bus.
General rule of thumb is that if your bus gets shot, you were too close to the action.
