In a series of corporate acquisitions, reputed crime family La Familia has become the majority shareholder in Family Galactic Travel Inc. Family Galactic Travel offers a wide array of vehicle warranties and travel related services.

Savet Hegar, of La Familia had this to say: "We believe that our business models are closely aligned. It makes sense for us to leverage our existing product line and integrate the offerings of Family Galactic Travel. There will be some restructuring, but we believe we can leverage the current Family Galactic Travel workforce in new areas and dramatically extend our customer base. Through these actions, we hope to return maximum value to our shareholders."

Family Galactic Travel reiterated that all existing contracts with both La Familia businesses and Family Galactic Travel would be honored.
