Yes smittens, didn't I tell you so?
You have to be aggressive with your recruitment. Even TGFT is aggressive with their recruitment today. It's not just about having numbers it's about making a unique proposal to everyone that comes through the game and is a potential recruit.
For a Serco guild you need people who love competition, love winning and love combat. But you need someone constantly having discussions over PM with people about why your guild kicks itani ass.

Honestly what we need is more Nikis on all sides - people who are happy to shoot at almost anybody with none of the "I'm a good guy" bullshit.

[edit] I just got a new(er) computer and my FPS is consistantly over 20 now, woot! My old one usually danced between 6 to 12.

I agree about Bignasty, he was the most effective serco nationalist player I've seen since before I ever heard of him or TRS. I'm not saying he's the best fighter, I'm saying he was the best fighter/leader combination.

Boda, everyone knew it was going to fall apart when you took control. Reverliss and then Fleet Consumer did all they could to make it last, despite your failures. If you really wanted SKY to survive you should have passed it on to Fleet instead of being a greedy dick and fighting over commandership that you didn't deserve to have in the first place.

Annoying and immature? I suppose the cheats used to log-haul multiple Tridents for yourselves and lackies in ONE was annoying. Fortunately I discovered how to do that too and was able to get a bit of benefit from it before the devs fixed it.
Oh I thought of something! It was super annoying and immature of Espionage when he was BEGGING me and my alts to side with RED over Itan. You even promised me Itan's guild bank with your "ways". Also offered me a Trident, I assume it was using the aforementioned "features"?

Agreed Harpo, Bignasty was pretty cool and reasonable.. he just took a little too much input from the loons.
Boda, read better*. I admit at every turn that I'm not the sort of person who should lead. And yet, in two days I did more to unite Serco than you have in years.... and then you smashed those efforts to pieces by raging and being an even worse leader than *me*.
I got noobs excited to play. But then I was too "unstable" (-> inactive) to keep them interested, leaving the legitimately-should-see-a-doctor-unstable serco in charge. It's a failure that haunts me to this day!
(well not really, but it is unfortunate)
Seriously, if a SINGLE serco were to remember this was a freaking video game and just play it for fun, they'd have an army. It's happened before. But the red side seems to only attract the most unstable and socially retarded of all us nerds-playing-a-space-MMO... so people like Boda and Ore scare all the noobs to become pirates or join other nations.
You don't even need to be actively recruiting, or constantly PMing people trying to sound tough. Literally all it took was being online and maintaining a good attitude.

Its also really funny to hear ITAN and SKV brag about their many victories... and not one of them occurring before I left ;p But have no fear, Im back and no power in the 'verse can stop me (once I remember how to fly a goddamn prom).

It's good that Inevitable tried to run a guild. He was a difficult player to have in RED for the short period that he was in it, I remember that we bumped heads over some relatively trivial issues. So maybe now he can grasp how hard it is to actually lead a group.
