Hi! I would like to make this new thread to whine about all the shit that Estrian Prosis etc. have done so that others who share the same whiney feeling in their little hearts may come here and throw some insults at them and shake heads etc.
estrian prosis:
- he farms pks on newbies and is a douche towards them.
- he uses the same trick as seiger to farm pks he just does it slower so it is less obvious (everyone knew it)
- he somehow cheated himself a shitton of money (credit to TGFT for leaking this)
- he runs downloads and youtube to increase his lag to be better at pvp (credit to Dirty 'oRe)
westacular:
- he sits in roids and kills passing players from it with some cheating technique (credit to greenwall)
- he has thousands of spy alts scattered over space
- he abuses furie pet bots to kill players (credit to ONE and greenwall)
- he helps estrian prosis cheat up his mining badge with f2p accounts group mining (credit to seiger and westacular himself)

for the record i dont recall saying wes killed people from inside roids.... the closest thing to that hes done (that ive seen)is kill people with mines he has laid in stations.

2. TGFT mass spying debacle through a public plugin surreptitiously collecting private player data and transmitting it to TGFT for sector spying.
What you label as spying is standard operating procedure for the Armed Forces of the United States. It's called an integrated battlefield and uses every unit in the theater as as a reporting agent. A computer in every platform displays friendly, neutral and hostile contact maximizing situational awareness. It is public knowledge and in no way classified as 'spying.'
As a trading guild, not combat oriented, providing our members early warning of potential hostiles is essential to ensuring delivery of goods to market. Which is why, I suspect, SKV is so opposed to this technological edge.
3. TGFT vote mute campaigns resulting in punitive actions for a large chunk of TGFT.
At 2300 hours (CST) 20SEP15 pilot "Estrian Prosis" made the following comment on general chat: "also, don't you think we should vote mute everyone in TGFT to prove the point, Savet."
No punitive action was ever reported by any member of The Guild of Free Traders. EP has spoken his peace on this matter in our diplomatic forum and we have stated our final decision. SKV has no standing in regard to this grievance, unless SKV-ITAN-EP are one in the same.
4. TGFT multi-account station bombing to offset their general lack of conquest ability.
As a believer in free markets, I have no opposition for multiple subscriptions to a single product for whatever purpose. Our enemies have multiple subscriptions and multiple free to play accounts, SKV in particular. It is a combat multiplier and necessary for the defense of free trade, especially as we are not as a whole pvp oriented. In the words of a fictional Marine: we improvise, adapt, overcome.
All in all, SKV and EP need to put on their big boy pants and quit bellyaching.

but if you lack the patience to get to the bottom of this TGFT honey pot spyware escapade, here is Rins dissection of what this does:

As a convenience for those less comfortable reading Lua code, here is the specific data that the current version of TGFT_Utilities on Voupr automatically sends to their server:
* Your IP (this is necessary; they can't not send it)
* The version number of your copy of the plugin
* Your TGFT username and password (these are NOT your Vendetta username and password)
* Your character name
* Your current location
* Whether your current sector has a storm
* Whether your current sector has bots
* Whether your current sector has players
* The guild, name, id, and ship of every player you encounter
* All item data for every item a station you visit sells
* Limited data about every item in your station inventory for every station you visit (specifically: item name, id, type, price, station id, and whether the price is static; no quantity information is revealed.)
It does not appear to scan through your character slots to directly identify your alts. However...
Your TGFT username is just your current character name; it changes based on whoever you're playing as. Your TGFT password, on the other hand, is randomly generated the first time you log in with the plugin installed and is then the same for every alt you use on that installation of Vendetta. It's saved in config.ini, so any alt on any account you use with that install will be submitting that same identifying password unless you manually intervene. The password is a random number between 10000 and 99999, so there is going to be some overlap if enough people use the plugin, but it's still a strong indicator of alt-ness.
Furthermore, even if you modify the plugin to not save the password each session, since communicating with another server necessarily reveals your IP address, they could identify your alts by examining their records to see if multiple character names talked to them on the same IP. That isn't definitive proof, because you may have been using a public access point that other people also used (university wifi, for example), but it is a pretty strong indicator in a game with as small a playerbase as VO's. You could partially bypass this by modifying the plugin to submit only a false name, however if they watch you visit a station in-game and note the timing, they could still identify you on the server by seeing which IP submitted data at that time. From then on, they know which data is yours unless your IP changes (most residential IPs in the USA are dynamic and change every so often).
And keep in mind that there is in fact a function in the plugin named "Altfinder" that queries the http://www.tgft.org/vendetta/altfinder.php page. So don't think I'm being paranoid bringing this sort of thing up. They do in fact put effort into determining people's alts and making that information available to each other, regardless of whether they actually record and use the data that this particular plugin submits."

TGFT vote mute squad engaged in mass vote muting of Estiran Prosis, Shark, Wrap & IRC within a few minutes.
Neither Shark nor Wrap said more then 1 sentence on public chat before muting was executed.
This was documented and support tickets were sent to the devs. The reply received from devs was that the perpetrators have been dealt with. I suppose no punitive action was reported by the TGFT vote mute squad members because of shame that would cause.

Multi accounting was not the issue here, autobombing plug-in was.

I quite certain VO wasn't meant to be played by suiciding multiple alts into mines laid in defense of the same players hostile aggression for the purpose of tanking the defending pilots nation standing(SKV). I'm also certain furies weren't meant to be used to carry combat action into NFZs and monitored space for the purpose of evading nation/faction standing loss(SKV). Not complaint, just reminding SKV to: remove the beam from thine own eye before chastising thy neighbor for the splinter in his.

I'm pretty sure in this last few months of my play time (I took a bit of a break before that) that SKV have been playing the game? All I see you doing wally is hiding on IRC and outing my alts?
You are only able to see one specific 5 minute period of time that occurred months ago? Me-oh-my, life must be quite boring for you!
