Nation Wars #433

I regularly go to nation war. Harpo should have been awarded the win. Your trident allowance backfired. One trident per nation except there was no Serco trident. Why were the others allowed to stay? How does this work again? What happens if there is like, I dunno, a Serco trident and no Itani or UIT? What will the rule be that day?

The rule is what LaZy says it is. You had Tridents in b8 minutes before NW, you just decided not to show because you knew you would lose with only 1 Trident. You showed up in 5 last time, how is that more fair.

The Tridents rule is stupid limited at one or any arbitrary number.

If you want to impose a limit on the number of tridents, it should be like this.

Tridents are only allowed where each team has an equal number of Tridents.
e.g. Where Itani has 1, Serco has 3 and UIT has 0, then no Tridents will be allowed to participate
Similarly if Itani has 2, UIT has 2, and Serco has 3, then 2 Tridents from each team will be allowed to participate

I was yelling at Allessa Prosos to come back to the trident and Lousierdog thought I meant him. Our bad and I accept the disqualification. My fault for my ambiguous directions, not lousierdog's, being a newer player misunderstandings happen.

I still think that tridents should be included but only one day per month on a known schedule (second sunday or some such) and limited to one per team (Or equal number as was suggested). This way no time is wasted arguing before the event about it.

Kierky's suggestion makes perfect sense.

As far as the fighting goes, yes this would be great. My concern is trying to coordinate that between 3-4 different teams and still start within a reasonable time. I really don't want to be sitting in a sector staring at a roid debating rules in sector chat forever waiting for someone to leave and come back or get there late, stuff like that. So I always try to be reasonable to those who are just a little behind but want to avoid things that have potential for large delays.

sounds like a stupid rule, why not also even light ship number, and light ship types?

Ye'r a bunch of whinin' ninnies.

Because light ships don't have shields, don't have on-board repairs, and don't have 1 million armor points.
