so if a group of other people organize and kill all of them your recruiting is stalled?
Feb 04, 2016 Mi5 link
That is correct CrazySpence they would have to kill them all.

I'm just posting this as a general FYI for the future..

I don't really want explicit guild membership, recruitment and alignment to be involved in player-run Events that we advertise. If we went down this road, we'd be seeing a lot more of these being submitted, some more thinly veiled than others, and that's not really desired. There's too much polarized drama between the different guilds already, that spills over into the forums and broader game. I don't want game Events to become entangled in that, if possible. Events should be for their own sake, and not have any other agenda.

If you want to host an event, and have interesting competitions, and then message the winners after the fact about promoting your guild, that's fine. And if you want to run your guild-recruitment event anyway, that's also fine, but we won't be adding it to the formal event notification system.

I'm more interested in contributing group activity and exposure to existing content to casual players.

The VOID Exam is intended to be a requisite for full member induction, and is being completed by our roster as well. I will be trying to privately contact promising candidates that complete this event of course, privately.

Giving a well-deserved pilot an equal chance to get a taste at a full subscription is enough reason alone.

Oh wow, Inc. I see where you are coming from, but the VOID exams are really just an "if you pass this, we may consider you", rather than a "Join this event to be considered".

I dunno, I would rather you concentrated on banning a certain guilds spybots than replying to this thread? What a ******!

If I am not particularly interested in joining VOID can I still participate?

Then if I change my mind down the road I already have a test score to submit per say... Call it the ASVAB, or SAT for VOID?

To clarify:

Inc was really referring to using the Events system to promote this sort of thing. You may promote the event here in RP (not in General please), but we won't put it in the Station News.

/edit: After further discussion, we WILL put it in the station news, but not the Event Planner.

Same here...

This is VO: nobody can stop you from participating in anything that occurs in-game (though they're certainly welcome to shoot you, and may cry about "disruption" so much you could be forgiven for believing the word had some objective meaning of which they were the arbiters). The nature of your participation is, of course, up to you.

Murdering a bunch of aspiring [VOID] seems like a fine method of participating...
