I have a couple alts devoted to taking down players in the nyrius-verasi area and Ive always killed players in valent and got kos, warped to axia/tpg/biocom and /explode and got my valent back. Yesterday it said that I had ¨killed too many non-hated players¨and I am 24 hour kos (standing does not matter, I am at neutral and the strike force try to kill me lol). So is there a daily limit to how many players I can kill? I am very intrigued to how this system works. much thatnks rar.

Yes: two (2) non-hated players per faction's space per 24 hrs. Third one will trigger 24 hr temp KOS. Beware the tricky issue of popping a single ship with gunners. But no, you need not limit yourself to one per day.

you have to limit your self to one each day. Sometimes, I have found it hard to do that, so it has become common to me.
Be careful if you agree to haul something for someone or escort someone, I've had a moth destroyed hauling stuff for a guildmate and been attacked when escorting when a I came across a convoy of the factions I've been temp kos with.

24 hours is enough. 48 would be reasonable, too. But a whole week? That's really heavy for blowing up 3 enemy XCs or whatever...

I don't think that's right, and I do a fair amount of killing in subfaction station sectors. But I suppose it's possible and I've just been going 7 days between three kills in any one subfaction's space.
If it is true, there needs to be a suggestion thread for a 24hr timer...7 days would've fucking retarded for killing non-admired pissants.

but, from what I can tell, it starts at 24 hour temp kos, then each time you kill again, while you are temp kos, adds to the temp kos. Although, I'm just a simple nuetral trader.
I thought it was progressive. The first instance or so was 24 hours and after that it increased to a week?

"Killing 3 players in a 7-day period, within a single faction's Guarded
space, will result in that faction placing Temp KoS status on the killer
for 24 hours. Exceptions are made for killing players of Hated or lower
standing with the local faction, and active duels. This only impacts
Guarded regions (ie, station sectors). Corvus stations ignore all kills
and are not affected by this change."
Since then, the self-defense exemption has also been added. I don't recall any other changes to the system being announced, so if it is behaving other than stated above, then that's a bug that should be reported.

I'll have to test this, thoroughly, by doing more subfaction hunting over the course of several days.

What about killing NPCs, what should the penalty be currently, the same?
Killing NPCs is currently not supposed to count toward the 24-hour temp-kos. (I would support changing that, but that's another thread.)
Killing 3 NPCs (of the monitored faction) in monitored space results in total, permanent loss of standing...currently.

I would suggest avoiding killing the npcs in their monitored space. Focus on the hostile players.
I would suggest killing TGFT in any space they are in, regardless of their faction standing. Fuck off biretak and keep your suggestions to yourself. I will kill PC's and NPCs where I like.
