I'd like to join in on this, but my PC internet connection has been spotty the past 6 months or so, and raising a 2-year old son means it's often difficult to find 10 minutes here and there when I'm not at work.

In DRHunk's defense, hosting an event is a lot of work, often thankless at that.

Let the guy run his own event, keshavman. He clearly stated this is an elite PvP contest. He is not obliged to change anything to make it "more fair" all the F2Pers and mobile scrubs. Make your own event in a new thread.

Door prizes were Rail Gun MkIIs, Neutron Blaster MkIIIs, Hive Positron Blasters, and I think there was a Queen Gat?

Yes! A really nice event. As the winner, I received 5,800,000 credits prize money. It was 50% of the total pot or something. Second and third place got something, too. I also got a Hive Positron Blaster and some Rails as "door prizes". The whole door prize thing was especially hilarious. Considering I only paid 200k "entrance fee" for taking part, the fun I had and the cash I got really made it worthwhile. I really don't understand the concerns some raised here.

By the way, the turnout was good aswell. I think we had like 8 or 10 people. It lasted for about an hour. So not too short as some NWs and not too long to make it boring. The host did a good job, even though he seemed to be new. I think that deserves the most respect - Hosting an event successfully in a game where usually only old corebase players host.
