I've been reading the RP forums and 100 quite a bit. Im stunned by the sheer amount of hate (its not just anger, as it seems).
All the (hidden) insults, accusations. No discussions, just a see-sawing (sometimes just a wall of text).
When i joined a year ago, the RP forums were already like that, but not like today. Nowadays we have the same shit on 100 over and over.
Then i read about people being stalked IRL or even blackmailed (no idea if those things are true!). Isnt this going a bit too far? If that is true, then RP aint something for you.
While still being new to VO and without knowing a lot of VO history, i think this hateful atmosphere has to end or be reduced drastically.
Its starting to get an all out hate/war relationship with everyone trying to back stab each other and continues insults.
Is this the RP you seek? Im not telling you to stop, just to think about it.
Im looking for more input on what the others think about this. Dont create another slanderous hate thread, that wouldnt really help and just proof my point.

I'm all for conflict, and being combative on forums.
But there is a line. Debate can be great.
If it gets to the point where someone is actually being hurt, or feeling unsafe outside of the game...IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT OKAY.

Of course it's not ok, as I've said repeatedly. There are lines to stay within, and it's not hard.

@greenwall: Just yesterday someone were talking about YOU stalking HIM on facebook. He wasn't even exaggerating or lying. You might want to take care of this log in your eye before whining about others.

I haven't been thoroughly reading all the drama that's been getting stirred up since Bojan came back. Could you please provide whatever evidence you have that whoever you're talking about (Ore, was it?) isn't exaggerating or lying?

It's nice that you noticed, Xeha. I can tell you that this has not always been the case. In fact it started with the return of some characters who made other characters angry and since then all their "RP" is tainted and drenched with this hate.
My simple approach to this is to visit the RP forums as few as possible. I (mostly) do not read those dramatic threads, unless someone PMs me in game telling me that there is a thread with drama worth reading or that I was accused of being Forum warrior X. I then sometimes go there to check out the drama and tell a few people to shut the hell up. I never take anything here seriously. It'd be a pity. Mostly I tell the people to log in and say it to me with spaceguns. - They usually don't do that.
The "going too far" has been going on for like 2 years now. But it has indeed hit another dimension lately: Players seem to have dug out personal information on a few players (like real life names). Some individuals like to use those real life names against other people on these forums. Either because they want to attack them more personally or because they want to accuse them of being that person (weird, I know?).
Attacking somebody personally by digging out their real life name/identity and then "using" his name or other information against him for weeks is the most pathetic thing you can do in an online game.
That is all very ridiculous and I think the individuals in question should receive a lengthy ban. And I think that - given they have a little rest of pride in their body - they should admit to doing what they have done publicy and apologize to the individuals in question.
The rest is up to the devs to decide.

Well..vendetta online is a great game and has some good people who play it and then we have aggrivators and others like the sort. Over the 4 yrs I've played vo (3 yrs till September 3rd haha) I've seen guilds do their own thing, no alliances just individuality. In the year 2016 I have seen guild relations be torn apart for trying to get stuff done but newer guilds keep popping up and old ones coming back which is good. As far as I've seen no one's been blackmailing anyone, just walls of text with skv vs tgft ultimately is the conflict I think? Idk I like the idea of individuality of guilds now like allowats dent guild HHTT,star's mining guild ROCK, and my furry guild AMAL, and Xeha's TRI. The people forum fighting barely play the game, cuz they have a life but I just think the banter is hilarious. Anyway that's my input!

As much of a dishonest scumbag hypocrite as Greenwall may be, Ore is no better. Therefor, I don't see any reason I should believe Ore's claim without evidence to back it up.
Granted, it is unlikely that he wants to post public links to his facebook account to show the alleged harassment. But if it's legit, he should file a ticket with the devs, and we'll know it was true when Greenwall is punished and the devs remind us not to do that kind of shit. Also, what exactly did you think this thread would accomplish? You ask people who hate each other to sit down and talk it out. Of course it's going to naturally escalate to nominal level of insult hurling.
