Not that it might come as any surprise, but I fully second Ecka's request that we cut the shit and get back to RP (stories and the like). Do I think it's likely to happen? No.

See, it's not that I disagree with the premise of the opening post, or even have a real issue with the way these forums are moderated. Heck, some of the classic RP that Ecka is referring to was either written by me, or starred me, or referenced me (or the guilds I have created) in some form. But seeing the hypocrite post this when all he has posted lately is slurs against others (aka, none TGFT), defense of plugin/trust abuse and other not very RP style nonsense; well it kind of gets my back up. And you are right Whistler, I should not let stuff like the OP's nonsense get under my skin, but when he is calling 99% of posters idiots and using foul language I kind of do expect you to step in. (You can paint it anyway you like, but use of the F bomb is against TOS too)
He can say nobody gives a ****, but actually some of us do. For some of us, the recent "posts" have actually been quite fun, and within the bounds of role play. Playing the asshat, or generally being a douche is a form of RP, especially when it is actually spilling over from the game that is being played. Guilds falling out with each other and having wars both in game and on the forums does actually breed some life into the otherwise quite boring sandbox that we have been given. Just because some people think that mining and trading is all this game has to offer does not take away from the facts: Vendetta started life as a space combat game. Combat breeds good banter and war. Combat is FUN, and can be done with both blasters and words. Wars have been won with a great speech.
