There is a difference between a targeted scam against one player conducted via private communications, and a wide-scale assault on the playerbase via a publicly advertised plugin. Overall, this is less evil than what TGFT was doing. That does not excuse it, however. At least not to me. If this really happened, then I'll lose a bunch of respect for Neon.

As for claims that it's a hoax, that's to be expected. TGFT's plugin was something that anybody who wanted to could verify. Mi5's allegation, however, is just hearsay; it would be very easy to fake this, and his guildmates would have no way to know the difference. It doesn't help that a lot of people perceive VOID as being innately untrustworthy thanks to the past behavior of many of their members.

Rin, I have no reason to lie. I was benefiting from being friendly with [TRI] and Neon Black. This is a lot to setup someone for little/no payoff, and I'm much too lazy to go that far, if I wanted to fuck with someone I would just PVP them.

Also, I welcome the devs to publish the chat logs that we had post-attempt where he tried to pretend to send me the wrong plugin, and then never responding back to me again.

He knew he got caught, perhaps that's why he's been out of the public view since the 3rd.

Also, I take great disrespect at that jab at VOID's honor. We have a lot more trust from the VO community than most other guilds from people who have had actual interactions and deals with us since VOID was created. Even our worst enemies know that when it comes to our word, we break it for nobody.

Well, email is easier to fake than you might think, but even so, I don't have any way to know what his real email address is, so showing me a bunch of emails and telling me they came from him wouldn't accomplish much unless I got him to confirm his email address to me in-game. I don't actually care enough to go through the effort.

Speaking of email, you should probably blur out his email address and name in the screenshot you posted, unless those are public knowledge.

I'd prefer to reserve judgment until I can hear Neon's side of the story, but if I had to decide right now, I would actually be leaning slightly in favor of Mi5's claim. A good argument from Neon could still change my mind, and a bad argument could do the reverse.
