[TRI] has recently joined the fight against the tyranny that has ensued throughout the known universe. It will be a difficult fight, but no doubt with courage and perseverance we will be successful in our goal.
It feels good to see others rising against the dominating factions that make up the current political structure.

Individuals will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis on whether they stand for peace or chaos
So perhaps some members of VOID may be exempt
And, on the flipside, even if an individual claims they stand for righteousness... if their actions suggest otherwise (for example-- attempting theft from an ally's bank, stealing/misappropriating the inherited wealth of a former member, or tyrannically seizing control of a previously-democratic guild followed by exiling those who stay true to the original purpose)... they will be appropriately labeled as TROUBLEMAKER and they will be DESTROYED

Recruiting f2p players isn't necessarily a bad idea if you can get enough of them. Ten corvults with sparrows can cause some damage to even the best pilot.

The forces of Mare Liberum will fight under your flag. However we will only engage the pirates in ONE-EDIT-SWA and their affiliates. VOID and Jolly Roger pirates honor their parlays and are an acceptable nuisance. Ask for Mare Liberum on 100.
so you are "selective" on the pirates then. I think EDIT and jolly roger are so far the best role players for pirates, edit is ok but most of their typing is like getting bored on a piano and just bring your fingers from one key to the other but for edit its keyboards lol.
More like the only real active EDIT from the cast is DPR; splens awol and while we see Marmot, he doesnt stick around or push his roleplay. TVNS gets on too, I suppose.

Best roleplay hands down goes to EMS.
SWA aren't grinders, just people who do whatever the fuck they want.
Two small things. First, SWA is more of nationalist guild than Itan right now. My evidence:

And 2, the concept of "griefing" doesn't really exist in VO. Or another way to look at it is: Every player of VO is a griefer. For example, people mining for ore cause me grief. So all miners are griefers.
Another example: all noobs who leave nation space cause antibody grief. So all noobs in grey space space are greifers.
I could easily define every action in VO as a way to cause grief, and thus every player (including EMS) is a griefer. It is easier to set aside the word and come to this understanding: In the world of VO, there are no griefers.

A griefer is defined by their intentions, not by the perceived results of their actions. If one's intent is to shoot / destroy / harass / disrupt other players for the purposes of spoiling their enjoyment (aka "for the lulz"), then one is a griefer. Most reasonable people would agree that shrouding griefing in "RP" doesn't actually unmake a griefer (see: k'met, westacular). Likewise most reasonable people would agree that griefing is permitted behavior in game.
