[--] Logistical Services Q and A -- what do you want to see? [--]
I was about to make a post listing off all the services that Specter pilots will be willing to do for the playerbase, mostly just some things like escorting, scouting, finding 'best sell' items in certain systems, negotiating trade deals when you dont have much protection, long term serveilance of mining operations..
Stuff like dat.
However, i think that wouldnt help as much to the playerbase, because /you/ know what you need help with.
Most of this guild is made for this reason, and hopefully what we want to do is to ensure that theres waay more activity out there in grey, alot less risk, and more players 'alive' in the world of VO.
We just started out with i think 10ish people. That aint much to do jack sh$t. However, ensuring some new services to VO can be atleast started can bring some life out there.
So let us know what you want to see. Be verry creative!

I have considered creating a thread for this very purpose, but I fear it would be abused or become a forum for unrelated activities and political treatise, something that Specter does not wish to propagate as an entity. Alas, the "obvious" route - direct comms to a Specter pilot - is currently the most secure and direct way to request Specter assistance.
Currently, Specter monitors (but does not presume to own) communications channel 611, and we ask that pilots willing to aide us - or needing aid - do so here if direct communications to a specific pilot becomes burdensome. Using 611 will, however, limit anonymity for obvious reasons.
If a pilot, group of pilots, or organization wishes to approach Specter with the intent of securing contracted service, we ask that they allow 48 hours from the time of the request for Specter to organize a minimum of three members, to include no less than 2 Specter council members, and prepare a formal convention to discuss the potential contract, negotiate recompense, if any, and generally flesh out the details of said contract privately and with the utmost input from the requesting entity.
Contracts with Specter pilots as individuals are subject to terms and conditions to be determined solely between the two parties in question, and are only required to refrain from violating the tenets of the Specter creed.
As for the advertising... these digital bulletin boards are fantastic for that, as well as the station news. Once we have established a list of basic services, with feedback from the greater community, we will promote these services through these channels.
For now, though, let us focus on the services in question.
- Route sweeping: Specter personnel, upon receiving navigation information, moves ahead of a planned convoy to ensure route safety and engage hostiles AHEAD (by at least one sector) of client(s).
- Mining overwatch: Specter personnel proceed to designated mining site ahead of client to ensure site security, and remain in place until the operation is complete and all client personnel have left the sector.
This is what we are looking for right now. These ideas may or may not make it to the list, but exemplify the intent of Specter as potential services. I look forward to seeing the feedback from the rest of you.

I forget how or if it's still done, but iirc you might be able to request one of the moderators to put your information in the in game news as a sort of advert.
Yes, Fluffy, precisely. This can be accomplished through the Role play / Station News thread, and is delivered in game through the station news feed, should any others have an interest in utilizing it as well. Be sure to check the moderator post regarding guidelines for the news, RoC, etc., before posting.
Oh, so THATS why I had joined 611 - to watch you specter guys! It was weirding me out why I had joined such an arbitrary channel...
Well theres a ton of things we can do in this game thats not ever been done.
So im giving the option to have people say what we can help with. The purpose is mostly to ensure people can fly out there and not think grey is entirely a no go zone unless u have money to pay pirates.

Thus far, Specter has been quite successful doing jump scouting and response, when we have sufficient manpower. Other ideas to consider:
Station defense or acquisition assistance (for qualified guilds / personnel).
Training sessions for new pilots (not required to be a Specter), to include advice on plug-ins, and how to set them up.
Intelligence collection and dissemination (something we do, but isn't currently advertised).
Diplomatic representation - let a silver tongued Specter act as liason to clearly express the wishes of you or your Guild in peaceful talks with others.
This last one may seem silly, but I find that it has been requested several times, and our success rate with formal diplomacy is 100%.

You'll get your guild into relations problems, nevermind that, since VOID as a whole conquers stations, (and I don't actually speak as this is what will happen) we may end up hunting you instead of normal KoSing. Also. I'm not insulting you guys but I was moving a swarm UDV from ukari to Odia cuz my controls were freezing alot. And I ended up somehow killing rev. With swarms. With 2 volleys to spare. With screwed up controls that are freezing. Also. In siegers absence maybe you guys can do Levi's? Just a thought. Oh and maybe give out UCs or hive FC and good no-licence equipment to new players.

And i was so drunk i didnt care to get face fucked by volleys of swarms at close range. When i see them pop i go kamikaze and hope to die :p

You should read the original guild page, we /intended/ to be hunted.
I intentially hunt rats if i feel the urge to purge, but thats part of the philosophy of our group.
We want to be the target. It makes us better combatants, and i want everyone to know we are taking on the bastards in space.
If i was afraid of relations like that i wouldnt of made this guild. Its one of the /intended/ purposes.
If you arent actively trying to kill anything with a [--] tag, you should be. Because we are trying to actively kill your tag :p
But thats like part of the reason i even made the guild. So many rat guilds, and it just turns into a bunch of rats all kind of fighting eachother with one group holding the most share of the cake. Thats boring
Most of the vets that are even in this guild joined /to be hunted/. And to do the hunting. The best challenge is taking on all the rats out there anyways.
