April 1st Team Deathmatch

Apr 04, 2017 Luxen link
My apologies for the delayed posting of the results of our second Team Deathmatch. It was plenty of fun, and I even took in on the winning side during our second fight! Many GFs to those who participated, and I hope to see you next weekend!

As before, I recorded the fights.
Part 1
Part 2

The first video is again in the thunderbowl of Sedina H9, with that special teal fog. The fight ended up pretty close.
The second video is, again, Everyone versus SWA. YT-1300 also showed up and intruded - hey, YT! Next time join in properly!
Both videos are voiced by myself and "Discord." Sorry for the staticy microphone, but I cant replace it yet. Unless someone here knows a good tool(set) for dealing with that?

ohey, come join me on the discord VC next time!

Ill do this again at the same time next Saturday.
10:00PM EST or 2:00AM GMT/UTC, Team Deathmatch!
Participants should be in or near Sedina D14 when the time comes
2 groups! Will your team win the matches?
Matches will be recorded! Join the every[ONE] Furball Voice Channel to join in!

Very nice! Sorry I couldn't attend, but glad to see it's happening!

There is always next Saturday, Nihilus!~~

Say... I could probably up the recording quality if VO's settings were turned down. maybe. I'm gonna play around with it for a little - Grim said that my videos were a little blurry for him.

FOr video editing, so far ive just been uploading about 20 minutes of video and clipping it within Youtube for the fight - I dont like that. I also want to spruce it up pre and post battle. What is good video editing software you would reccomend?

Any chance this event will ever be a couple of hours earlier? Current starting time is well past midnight for some, and us old folks need our beauty sleep to be a tad less hideous in the morning.

I have it in my mind to host during a sunday morning some day, but not this week. I wouldnt be opposed to doing it next week, if you guys would like?

I just would hate for the family to suprise me with an unplanned busy morning, as they oft do.

Lol looks like you guys are fighting under water in that first vid.

A bit rate too low will cause that. It will take a better computer to handle recording

I can only use what i've got for right now, but you guys are welcome to record it from your perspectives. But, which would improve my performance more right now: upgrading my i3-3210 or my gtx 750 ti?

the graphics card.. [edit:] and probably a more efficient recording program thingy. nvidia shadowplay ran perfectly fine on my gtx760 and that card isn't all that much better than yours. what do you use?
Apr 09, 2017 Luxen link
That's annoying, then. I just upgraded from a Gt620, just a few months ago...

[edit]I use ffSplit to record my screen - I haven't really ~used~ NVidia's shadowplay, since a friend more technical than I recommended I use ffSplit. I may have ffSplit badly configured - Ill play around with both it and shadowplay throughout the upcoming week.

Recording is NOT gpu intensive, it is cpu intensive. Sorry, but an i3 can't handle it.

Oh? Good. I've been planning on upgrading to a better processor. If its CPU-based, then Ill just upgrade sooner rather than later.

The rate at which you encode, which determines how good of a quality you get, is completely up to how good your cpu is

I7s are generally the best for this type of work
