It's hard to put down into words the feelings one experiences when a brother-in-arms defects to another nation. Serco-NT relations have generally been good as of late, but I will regret the day when I'm forced to do battle with both a skilled warrior and a mentor and friend. Good bye Dave.

Dammit, another vet, lost to the nerfing of the Prometheus.

Devs, I know you won't listen, but in case you do, out of the goodness of your heart, fix the Prometheus. Please.

Indeed. Give us a ship that can rocket ram valkyries into oblivion! The marauder is good and all, but healthwise, it's still a bit risky to go for the ram.
A 20k prometheus, however, and we're in business.

I hope this has enough impact to tell people that there is something WRONG with Serco. Because the message hasnt been getting across.

This is by no means permanent. I just pray to the gods that something... anything happens to allow me to change back. There are people both on Itani and Serco who have annoyed me to the extent that I no longer want a part in this "war" until its motives change significantly. Think of it as a vacation.

Newsflash: No nation is perfect. Hopefully you'll realize this sooner or later.

Some will become less evil than others, but that's never the case for long. I say just stick with the nation that has most of your friends on it, and has the type of ships that match your fighting style, etc. By the final version of Vendetta, we'll be playing a game based on factions. Nations won't really matter since they're simply a way to give each character some background etc. Well I shouldn't say matter, but would be less significant than factions. Anyway, I'll leave it at that.

/me sells Serco Gov. Davis and his Lt. for -50c

better yet, just take them!!!

Uhh, what exactly IS the priority in the war?

From my position on the "ground" I dont see anything but my mission, the defense of Serco Space and the eradication of any Itani Insurgents.

But, for those in the Serco Dominion Government, what is the goal of the war? The extermination of the Itani race? what?
Apr 19, 2004 ctishman link
Ah, the goal of the war. There is no mystery in that.

For what the Itani did to us, we will see their ships destroyed, as they destroyed our fleets in years past.

For what the Itani did to us, we will see their stations tossed into deep space to let the occupants suffocate, as they did with our stations in years past.

For what the Itani did to us, we will see their warriors lined up and beheaded with their hands and feet tied, or forced out of an airlock without a suit, as they did to ours in years past.

For what the Itani did to us, we will see their homes and fields burned. We will see their children shot, as they did to ours in years past.

For what the Itani did to us, we will see their homeworlds smouldering before us. The verdant green hills of Itani Prime will become a volcanic wasteland, and they will cry to their heathen gods and ask why this destruction has been rained upon them, but they will know, and it is because they did this to our ships, our stations, our warriors and homes and fields children and worlds in years past. Our vengeance upon them shall be swift, merciless and complete.

Yeah, except ya'll are gold now, seeking personal profit instead of revenge.
Apr 19, 2004 Pirogoeth2 link
Ctishman, that seems extremely reminescent of Babylon 5's narns and centauri.
Apr 19, 2004 Arolte link
I seek revenge. So I took the opposite route and went from NT to Serco. So there, Sjet!

=b
Apr 19, 2004 ctishman link
huh. Never seen Babylon 5.
