SAF and the Win At All Costs Mentality

Jan 25, 2005 The Roach link
First off let me just say that my main character is Itani and that I am a member of the IDF. When I'm flying I hear my fellow guildmates and members of the Itani nation complain about missle spaming, unfair tactics, etc. On the message boards I read complaints about station kills, griefing, ganging up on lone pilots, and eveything else. I say hats off to the SAF, they are playing this game the way it's made to be played.

I have a charater that I play, called odly enough The Roach, he's UIT, he's a trader, he's a miner, he's nuetral. I wanted to get more involved in the game so I created an Itani character. Why? Because I wanted to fight, I wanted an enemy, I wanted Friends and Allies that I would fight beside against an enemy.

When I play my Itani charater I want to see a Serco show up on my radar an I want to feel the rush that comes from me knowing that this is my sworn enemy and if I don't try to kill him, he's probobly going to try to kill me.

Missles are part of the game and a legitamate weapon, if someone wants to load up a Rag with two swarm launchers and 3 firefly launchers, so be it. If I set my home stationin grey space so I'll be closer to the action and the enemy finds out where I'm based at and camps out at the station, thats the risk I run. If the SAF decide to get together and fly into Itani space and mine some station in the middle of Itani space, than more power to them.

My point is that the Itani and the Serco are at war and that the players of those nations should act like it. The UIT are nuetral and if a player doesn't want to be attacked by other players, than thats the Nation they should be playing.

Lastly, if a member of our nation is in a situation where they are being griefed, it's up to us to come to their aid. Give a call for help on ch. 11, but for gods sake, stop complaining.
