I just logged off and I see this post - which is quite depressing after so many deaths in vain in a few hours. Stand up and play CtC guys! We will lose if we don't fight.

p.s. we all should be happy to fight against mr_spuck again -although I hate his very nasty repair gun [edit: which is btw useless atm with the auto-healing bug]

Heh, Spuck is only good when he has guys backing him. Most of the time he scores cuz his team mates do a hand off to him, not cuz he is the 1337 uber CtC playin best PvPer in VO.

Note that curses tend to occur more frequently when there are 4+ groups of chaos swarms at the same time on their radar.

but why do you have to lie?

look, you have 300 deliveries this week alone and its not even friday yet.

that is already roughly equivalent to the surplus.

if it wasnt for you, itani would be ahead right now.

in weeks past, you have clearly made a huge difference, wiping out itani's surplus effects on numerous occasions.

you frequently deliver 2-3 times more cargo than any of the other 'top cargo' players.

you deliver 10-20 times more cargo than most average players.

and the effect on morale is incalculable.

your 'pvp' skill makes no difference. the ship you fly, the guns you use, none of that is relevant here. all that matters is the numbers, and they speak for themselves.

the itani should kill spuck before they even think about killing the transport. just that one strategy alone, 'kill spuck first', might have made it to where itani would be tied with serco at this point, instead of several hundred behind.

sorry spuck, i dont care if you suck at pvp. i am no hot shot either. but if the itani want to win ctc, it is almost necessary to kill you.

Let me disagree on this, ananzi. Killing mr_spuck before the transport is utterly useless if you want to limit his deliveries.

Let's say you destroy his agresso in Bractus E2. Fine. If any SAF succeeds in killing the transport later, they are fair chances that mr_spuck (reborn in Odia) still delivers the cargo to Catequil. He's the official SAF courier, a sort of CtC Red Pony Express :) That role is obvious enough if you look carefully at the CtC page (the contribution of several SAF top players is clearly not reflected because they don't deliver themselves).

Last night there was a discussion in channel 100 about tracking the CtC cargo and one of the issues was a sector announcement (*cargo carrier entered into Bractus B-14*) would not designate the actual carrier; I made a joke that it was always mr_spuck anyway. Eldrad, who took part in the action, was ready to bet some credits that it was not spuck not for the last round. 15 seconds later... 202 mr_spuck delivered 13 units to Catequil Outpost... [edit: I should have taken that bet!]

To continue playing with numbers. The Itani are only about 150 back right now. Oh Noes!

Fine. But unless you guys somehow manage to send some kind of evil electric charge through my compy, killing me could prove a little hard. :P

Err... Sun I only remember one encounter where I was using Swarms against you lately. The one time where you and anazi were defending. I fired one at anazi and still had two rounds on the other side of the gate. So there could never have been 4+ on your radar. Or was there another? *scratches head*

well my theory has flaws but it also has merit

especially in the serco convoys in sedina/latos/ukari.

spuck is real good at picking up cargo, and running it home. the others are real good at blasting people.

its like american football. spuck is the ball runner. if we take out the runner, then the blockers and tacklers have to divert their attention from their primary duties, and do capturing and ball running. but they arent as good at it, their ships carry less, etc.

blowing up spuck hurts serco strategy... any way you slice it.

Well, I have no problem with Mr. Spuck being the theme of a thread, he's a nice guy, and a fun pilot to fly with or against.

Or with him being proposed as a major factor in the CTC competition, which he is.

I do, however, have an issue with a player being singled out with the venom that appears to be displayed by ananzi. This is the RPG forum, friendly banter is acceptable, but lets be careful that our tone doesn't become accusatory.
