Reasons for the UIT to help *anyone* in CTC

Feb 16, 2005 Lonestar00 link
Just curious - I wanted to know why UIT help whichever side they help. I didn't want a repeat of flame wars or anything from previous similar posts. I am just curious about how you guys ended up deciding on who to help (or just to help yourselves).

I started with the aim of helping both sides equally. I started CTC because Solra Bizna invited me into a free for all in Sedina B8.

I apparently got myself on a few KOS lists while still learning the ropes and found myself, for all practical purposes, stuck on one side (Serco). That is, until I saw an Itani who shall remain nameless for Borb's own protection selling the cargo himself.

EDIT: grammar

well,

I would say:

1) to help the underdog
2) get a profit out of your effort
3) increase pvp-skills
4) not be excluded from the itani/serconian fun

cheers

Rene, you don't even play any more >.>

Rene, at this point, for your opinion and suggestions to be respected, you will actually have to go and *play the game*.

Just lurking among the flotsam on the boards is not enough to get a *good*, *working* idea of what will work in the current universe.

no

Well my reasons are simple, Serco stepped to help me from the word go. Not saying there havent been some itani on some occasion, but much more Serco help from botting tips to teaching me the art of pvp, its been mainly Serco. That and I bleed red, so saw that as a sign :-)

I was trying to even out the game and prove to people that their stupid comments are, in fact, stupid. Serco had won 5 out of 6 ctc when I started, and they just got a fancy new ship that many people said was totally too powerful and they were gonna quit the game blah blah blah. Well, it has been 2 weeks since that fancy new ship came, and Itani have won both CtC since then. It is the human element that makes the difference, not which ships people have.

You know, to get on topic here. I think, frankly, that UIT should be helping UIT. They should be entirely independent, and have goals
that do NOT necessarily supplement one side or the other.

EDIT: oh, and ananzi. The serco CTC guild quit. That's why they've been losing. It has nothing to do with the ship balance issues. Which are separate.

I personally don't care anymore who wins...

I use positrons. ^.^

shape: exactly my point! the 'human element' trumps everything else.
Feb 22, 2005 Shapenaji link
Well sure, having people fighting and being involved will trump anything else. But my point is that while that may be the primary issue, the other issues are still important.

And the reasons why they stopped acting as a guild are very important for the devs to look at.

I can hint you as to why I quit, Shape.

People like ananzi here. He's a very good reason to quit the whole game actually.
