I'm leaving.

I don't know when I'll be back. It might be a few hours, days, weeks, months.

Here I am two hours later. I physically cannot continue to punish myself in this way. I have stretched my body to the breaking point. (I mean this literally. Do you know when the last time I slept at all was?)
Some have told me to simply take a break for a while and relax; I would do that, except I know this will simply happen again and again.
When I joined Serco originally, I stayed because of the cohesiveness of the faction. We worked together to win CtC, and we did so without fail. Now I am the only serious CtCer on the Serco side.
I have stayed up late nights, I have missed meals, spent every available moment playing VO, capturing every unit of cargo I can. But not even a Geminorian warrior can possibly equal nine Itani. Something is wrong if a mere game is making me go to all this effort. Every second I have spent playing Vendetta Online for the past week could better have been spent doing my job, or being with my family. The outcome of this round would have been no different, and I have accomplished nothing else during that time except a nice 1% loss in experience and a nice 900 unit faction drop with my own home faction.
I'm not going to continue to make this mistake. I'll still keep tabs on the Vendetta universe (I can't wait for the Behemoth) and may even create an alternate character, but you may not see Solra Bizna for a while. T'b'qol'r.

hey Solra... don't burn out...
burning out is the danger for every activity that engages us thoroughly and intensely, so I hope you enjoy your break :) and come back soon

Solra, this is a game. It's ment to be fun. You post suggests that you may have stepped over the line into obsession. Get you life in place and then come back. Spend time with your neglected family and friends. Go to the movies. Remember that this is only a game. :-)

Solra, you almost did it last week. Very impressive. Without Niki's show last night, I'm not sure what the result would have been.

You you your a vendetta addict when...

...You know you have spent far too much time online and need a break.

Take one,

As for the CTC, I have a few of my own reasons why I have not been online as much, but when i was I did try to CTC a little, and guess who got there before me (both times =p) You.

Solra, I haven't done it yet, but if you want I can ban you for a week, with or without an Odysseus clause.

e.g. No matter how you complain, plead or threaten, I would not unban you until the week was up.

Been there, done that.

Together with the crappy attitude from the "other team" at times, especially when I publicly stated its a pointless fight which is always slanted in their advantage.

Sod them all and let them keep their guns. There are more things to do than burn out.

A good night's sleep, a square meal, and a movie work wonders.
I'm coming back, but I'm never doing CtC again. I know what'll happen if I do.

Basically: the game is rigged in the opponents advantage. The opponents are the only ones that really enjoy the rewards of it. (Heck, I don't even use Neutrons) And they have a crappy attitude about it.

Sod them, so the CtC. its not worth the effort, let them gloat alone.

Everything in moderation Solra.

Don't worry. His competitive spirit will ensure a swift return in his never ending quest to crush the balding Itani fools.

Though I prefer if the crushing is done in another competition other than CTC, which is getting very boring actually...
