Declaration of Intent
The Itani Defense Force and the Itani Alliance would like to take this time to announce that we will be working together to protect Itani citizens from all aggressors, with aggressors being defined as those who attack without prevocation Itani pilots. This does not constitute any aggressive action and should in no way be construed as a declaration of war. This partnership will be evaluated on an individual basis and should not be assessed as being aimed at any person, guild or group in particular.

Shapenaji, I'd like you to note that this does not change the neutrality of the IDF. We still are a defensive organization and will not attack pilots, BL or otherwise. However, we are clarifying that we will defend the Itani people from destruction and the Itani territories from invasion.

Of course the IDF and IA *will* protect "itani citizens" whether they declare their intent or not. I mean, if they don't, what are their reason for their existence?
And I like the "should not be misconstrued as a declaration of war" bit too.
I would like to declare that I, HC, will hereby shoot anybody who steps into grey space whom I deem shootable, and should not be misconstrued as an act of war against any guild, nation citizens, or lawyers in particular.

Regarding the presence of IDF members in Sedina B8 i just would like to say that Grey space is unclaimed by any known nation, therefore our presence there is as weird as serco or any other.
I was there and no IDF attacked Black Lance pilots.
IDF pilots appeared at that particular sector because one of our council members was being attacked by a serco fighter pilot and we wanted to provide the respective aid.
But there is more, IDF is strongly commited to Catch The Cargo runs and sedina B8 is part of the route that serco convoy uses so it will be more than common to see IDF pilots there.
Again, I hope that you see that this isn't an agression move agains Black Lance and we are officialy neutral regarding your existence or actions.
Finally, as you well know, some of the Black Lance pilots attack IDF members and in those cases we invoke our right to defend ourselves from any agressors.

I would like to take this time to announce that after negotiations between the IDF and the BL that we are on slightly friendlier terms. Although there is still a ways to go before the core issue is solved, we believe that we have taken a step in the right direction. I am at the moment not at liberty to state exactly what has been agreed upon but I believe that it was the right choice.

As a member of the IDF, I wish to state that my presence in Sedina B8 was in response to hostilities against other IDF pilots. I have not and will not fire upon any ship, Serco or otherwise, unless hostile actions are taken upon me or other Itani pilots.
The IDF are not here to pick fights with other guilds or nations. We will, however, defend ourselves as well as any other Itani pilot, as we have all sworn to do.
If other guilds or nations want to pick fights..... that's your choise.
