Yeah so I was playing VO recently in my living room when all of a sudden I look over at the door (full glass pane door) and see these two little eyes staring up at me. Needless to say I was scared pantsless, but then I noticed it was the black cat from up the street. I decided to ignore it and keep playing, but right when I turned back to the game, I hit a roid and got smeared all over space. Ow. I kept on playing, hoping to get back the cash I had lost on my Centurion, but I had the worse case of bad luck imaginable. Constant ion storms, tons of bot swarms (I was padding in a bus, didn't have a chance), etc. Finally I decided to quit and try later once Ghost in the Shell: SAC was over. As I was watching I noticed that the cat from before had packed up and left, probably seeing that I wasn't going to feed it. After the show I tried playing VO again and bang! Instant good luck! I was tearing through bots like a hurricane, plus I found a whole crap load of plasma engine thingys lying around that I cashed in for tens of thousands of creds. Maybe it sounds crazy but I think that cat is my new "VO guardian angel".

So if the cat is nearby you have bad luck?

I see only one solution..................................................shoot it.

In many states, shooting a cat is a felony. That would be REALLY bad luck.

cover your door's windows, nail it shut and glue the windows closed. The Serco are after you...

If it's a black cat, bean it on the head with a mirror hard enough to break it, while standing under a broken ladder, at exactly 12:00 midnight on a Friday the 13th. (Hey, if you overflow the universe's integer precision, you'll end up with REALLY good luck :P)

No that's just the cat. He does that when he doesn't get his way.

I like the idea of taking its power, but treats and kindness cost time and money. Two things that could be going into VO instead. Maybe I'll just stone it to death and wear its claws as talismans.
