Free Ship Piloting.

Apr 24, 2005 genka link
Okay, I am writing this so that govbus pilots can become uber to the best of their abilities. As many people think that actually great might be.

So, suppose you're flying ye olde govbus. Obviously, a moral advantage is had by you over pilots of less bad ships. This crutch is a useful useable user's used mindset is. Anyway, consider these points:

1) This point is obvious. So obvious, it would hurt me to type it.

2)Since this one is not as obviously obvious as the last obviously obvious point of obviousness, I will type it.

3)If you want to win against anything, follow these simple directions: Strafe left for half a second, and switch on your flight assist mode. The strafe right as you slowly pitch up and to the right with your ships rear end. This will help. Then boost for exactly a third of a second and turn off flight assist mode. Now hold down w and press q several times, thenhit your hail bind and fire off one shot. Repeat until your enemy is dead.

4) Going to east is a good as well as a great in a bad of is.

5) This may or may not be a joke thread.

Very good young Genka.

You left out some of the more advanced Govblaster techniques, but I suppose they're better kept under wraps :P

Hehe, well, those govgun techniques just have to be learned, no reall way to pass them on. People just need to get the hand of them.

Forgot some dodging stuff!

1) go left
2) go right

Hmm I always thought the way to doge things went like this...
1) Don't get hit.
2)
3) Profit!

I was majorly confused by this thread until I read the "heavy ship piloting" now I don't know whether to laugh or to cry.

I'd suggest laughing. genka, thanks, you made my day. :-)

acording to basic atomic theory, the vast majority of matter is empty space, so sending a paricle beam threw a ship and hitting anything is a lot like dropping a boling ball threw an acuarium and hitting say: a sunfish.

Thus the probabliity that any one blast from a weapon will hit any actual matter is near zero and can be ignored.

therefor if you stay perfectly still your enemie's weapons should pass threw your ship without hitting anything. And if this doesn't work it's because you movied too much, try it again but this time stay perfectly still.
