I'm sorry Doukutsu, I just dont see it that way.
You are trying to take something that is very personal, subjective and most importantly, completely impossible to re-create predictably by another person... and attempting to apply the scientific method to it. Faith, no matter how you define it, and the scientific method are nothing alike, by the very definition of the scientific method.
--A closer example to the scientific method would be that you observe some event (like the complexity of nature, or a kind act done by somebody else), and you make a 'best guess' as to what caused it (some people would say "natural events" others would say "God."
and the people who say god would be ignorant of the actual mechanisim of what caused the event. the whole point of the scientific method is to EXPLAIN the underlying processes of what you observe.

Well, the scientific method is also used to prove, disprove, or provide evidence for the existence of something.
But, ah, you get me wrong. I guess I should have seen it earlier. Its not that the scientific method applies to faith, it is that faith applies to the scientific method. I was merely explaining why there would be no scientific method without the process of faith. But they ARE similar (depending on your definition of faith, as stated earlier).

They also didn't give us penicilin, aspirin, antibiotics, the airplane, the telephone, computers, engineering, medicine, architecture, musical instruments, symphonies, plastic, batteries, painting, poetry, metalworking, etc. etc. etc. things that not only allow you to live as you live now, but also to whine about science's evils here.
