Newest version of iTunes is borkaded?!?!
I've had problems with iTunes deleting songs from it's folder for no reason. before it was about 300 songs missing. Now the whole library of about 600 is gone XD Luckily I have hard backups of 99% of it. Anyone else have iTunes related problems?
(Plus it scrambled VO's text and started to play the music at fast forward. 'twas freaky)

The latest iTunes update is removing files that have had the DRM info stripped out of the AAC files. It's a "feature" in response to people purchasing music files and then stripping them so that they can use the files any way they please.
Aye, anti-theft measure.
As for the speed, maybe you have it set on "Render file as The Chipmunks".

Oh...
That might explain it. Though it didn't happen until my comp crashed after trying to download BSG from the iTunes store.

Good thing I never, ever use AAC. mp3 ftw.
I'd consider iTunes, if it didn't refuse to accept my international credit card.
I'd consider it if Apple products could use my Ogg Vorbis library. I know, there's a QuickTime component. Unfortunately, metadata doesn't work that great with it, and there's still no way to play my oggs on an iPod... :(
As an entirely unrelated side note, any reccommendations for a hard-drive-based Ogg Vorbis player?
