You have an IP Address? I would suggest you immediately get that taken care of. Let me tell you a little story.

In the Springtime of last year I was happily gathering material for my latest monograph, 'the hermeneutics of multiparalellism in N-space'. Suddenly, to my great surprise, a Pop Up banner appeared on my screen. (They are called "Pop Ups" because they, quite literally, "Pop Up" on your screen without warning or indication). Intrigued, I read the banner. It said 'your computer is broadcasting an ip address, which leaves it vulnerable to attack'.

Aghast at the potential security situation, I called in my brother. He said some hogwash about how nothing was wrong. I quickly corrected him, showed him the error, and reminded him that i have a degree in computer science. Furthermore my computer was intimately connected to very important networks and intrusion should not be taken lightly. He got an exquisitely dumb look on his face, but then he sighed and told me the truth.

'You're right, Michael', he said, 'It's just that it's a really difficult thing to fix and I didn't want to go fixing your crap for free again'.

I was surprised. But, being a flexible, intelligent guy, I suggested that perhaps I could pay him this time to take care of my computer, plus a little 'appreciation bonus' for all the work he has done for me in the past (defragging, optimizing my color temperature, cleaning out old desktop icons).

He immediately brightened. Although he told me that he would need privacy as this work required a lot of concentration. A few hours later he reappeared, sweat soaked and disheveled, and told me he had finished removing the 'IP Address' from my computer and that now I would be able to be secure on the InterNet. Please notice that I capitalize InterNet properly, because I know the history properly, unlike you slobs.

You see the InterNet was a 'network of networks', enabled by the "TDP-IP" protocol, which was sketched out on the back of a napkin in 1955 by the great computer scientist Edgar Djisktra. I hope you are impressed by me being able to type the name of someone named 'Djikstra'; it is even more impressive when I speak it out loud to a crowded audience at one of my acclaimed lectures.

Anyways, I hope you peons can appreciate my genius now, and Jestatis Bess, what can I say other than suggest that you hire a qualified technician to immediately remove the very dangerous 'IP Address' from your computer. And maybe if you stopped visiting so many porn and warez sites your machine would not be infected with so many problems, or 'mal ware' as we like to call them in computer science circles. Mal comes from the spanish Male, which means 'bad', or 'evil'.

Don't be ashamed, though. I once was addicted to porn and warez sites too; I was able to break the habit through counseling and a 6 week 'boot camp' program in northern Montana. My computers have been relatively trouble free (except for this IP Address infection) since then.

Anyways, my brother took the money, said thank you, and that it was a good thing I had caught this problem as soon as I had. My brother also informed me that he had removed two hacker tools called 'ping' and 'tracert'. I suggest you check your computer to see if those backdoors have been installed as well.

The peace of mind you acheive will be well worth the 200 dollars.

Fraud! Poser!

EVERYONE knows that Al Gore invented the internet.

Anyway, Dark Throne would likely catch on that there is an unusually high number of visits from particular network and node. The IP numbers are not random - they contain tracking info.

Edgar Djisktra is Dutch for Al Gore, you illiterate philistine.
