This has been troubling me for some time. I always assumed that a mouse was far superior to a funstick (especially for fps'), yet so many people play vendetta with them. Why is this?

Most of the games i play (which are fps') I always use a mouse as I can whip the view round stupid fast like, same with that ancient game Frontier (Elite2) and that was a space trade/combat sim thingie...

Is autoaim holding me back or am I missing the magic of a funstick?

It's because the ship turns rather ponderously. In mouselook mode (what about 75-85% of us use), you can look with the big crosshair, but the little crosshair is where the ship is going. However, in kybd only and joystick mode, you can ONLY control the ship itself, which means that you have to move at the speed of the little crosshair. Hehe.

Roguelazer, you ALWAYS control the little crosshair, in mouselook mode, the big circle is the current direction the ship is facing.
