Jul 17, 2012 Deathzor link
For anybody without a famy tag that gives a shit
I will be afk from the VO verse for some time, main reason is working on my own game engine / game ( if i get the devs permission I might throw up a link ), ones I have a blog with some demo's ones i have some of the cooler features ready. ( mostly build out of video demo's most likely as who in there right mind would want to read what i write ;) ).
Thnx everyone for the good time in VO and i might be back when time allows me to.

Well that's just not good enough! VO MUST come first as well you know, end of. ;p

But seriously, good luck with the engine/game. Is it going to be a 2D or 3D engine, what's the game going to be about?

Engine will be 3d ( based on irrlicht in itself a full functional 3d engine )
but I'm trying to include network code + other code and make the engine programming able in a javascript like language ( based on google's v8 tech ), with as final goal to make a Counter-strike clone as a primary demo game the end game will be to create a easily programmable engine that other small time developers can base there games on, then try to make as many totally different games as possible to show of the dynamic nature of the engine.

Most likely will create some tower defense stuff in the mean time to show of parts of the engine / or simple 1 level shooters / rail shooter type games.

Keep in mind is a hobby, not a full time job so not expecting to create something major if I'm happy if I can create the tools for somebody else to make something better ;).

The show of demo's are gonna be free ( as in beer ), the end produced I have not made my mind up on yet.

WOW, no seriously, WOW! no wonder your not going to have time for VO.

One of the very first game programming books I ever read was 'Tricks of the 3D Game Programming Gurus - Advanced 3D Graphics and Rasterization' by Andre LaMothe which, although very good, proceeded to melt quite a number of the neurons in my brain as 3D maths is probably one of the most difficult things I've ever had the pleasure of studying. I wish you all the best!

I hope the devs let you link to your blog/demo.

PS. Did you mention beer? ;)
