Spelling a japan word in english is more a form of guesswork then science.

Well, in the commercials he's from, it says on the screen:
どーも、BS です。

Which means, "Do-mo, it's BS." which is actually yet another pretty hilarious case of Engrish. They mean Broadcast Satellite, I think, not realizing the connotations of "BS".

Anyway, どーも is pronounced Dômo, with a long first o.
