it's an old joke that isn't even funny. if i were french, i'd probably be pissed. on one of the forums that i visit, tempers flared when someone posted this. this kind of joke is one that you tell to a hardcore American or your average high school student (they think it's funny as hell). on major forums (or here), i don't think it's a good idea to post this stuff because of the diversity of the community.

-The French Won the American Revolution for us. Napolean also would have conquered the whole of the Eastern Hemisphere if not for the coldest Russian winter ever. That and the fact that one of his field marshalls misinterpreted his orders at Waterloo (although that last one is still up for debate.) Thus, we are in no position to be dissing their military.

This must make the rounds in the various forums. I remember seeing this in the Eldar Scrolls forum about 8-9 months ago.
hmm... i must really have a perverted sense of humor, i fail to see the funny part. i see the joke, alright, i just can't laugh about it.
in a forum i checked in relation to this webpage, tempers rose way up high over that seemingly harmless joke.

I can see how people could find humor in it...but I cannot find it myself. :(
