Serco Prometheus/ Prometheus Spawning Grounds (Would appreciate look from FM)

His mecha art is really good. Makes me wish I had some sort of drawing/painting talent.
Um, way back when 3D background planets were first added, we were not known as the Serco. We were the "Red Team". Upon viewing our homeworld, we decided to call it "Prometheus Prime". Note that this is completely unofficial. When 3.1 came out and it was apparent that we Reds would have our own ship, we petitioned that it be named the "Prometheus". They were kind enough to name it thus.
Hmm, thats cool. Prom Prime, got a certain ring no?

ctishman: ??? The 3d planets came out in 3.1.8. I have the post proof cited below (1). The Prometheus was already the Prometheus by then. BTW, I was pretty close. I guessed that there'd be a hidden sector accessed through a hollow roid. Remind you of anything?

I really don't know. Promethius is an artist along similar lines to Waylon. The name "Prometheus" has been given to ships in a few space games in the past, and is generally a cool Greek mythical figure (He stole fire from the gods and gave it to man, among other things, and was punished by being chained to a mountain top while being evicerated by an eagle until eventually rescued). I suspect the devs knew of the name without it being associated with Niklas.

Nope, it wasn't named after him, though I've known the guy for years. It just seemed like a fitting name for the ship.

I was just surfing around Waylon's website when I noticed he had linked to another site known only by the name Prometheus Spawning Grounds so I was wondering, espicially to FM, did the name for the Serco Prom come from PSG?
