And as for "bad book," it was the WORST book I've ever read! Well, that's not true, but I didn't like it. I haven't read, or tried to read, the Lord of the Rings series. And admittedly the last time I tried to read The Hobbit was in 4th grade. Mayhaps I should give it another chance.

4th grade? I don't think that the *average* 4th grader is really capable of understanding the nuances and underlying concepts of books such as The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings trillogy. Perhaps you should give them another try now that you're more mature. You might find that you actually enjoy them now. I'm sure there's a graphic novel version. (©.©)

you really need to re-read tolkin, It is an excellent series of books. a query tho, did you read it in the 4th grade because you wanted to, or was it assigned by a teacher. most of the time being forced to read something will make you dislike it unconditionally and you wont even give it a chance to impress you.
