one of the mmorpg's that probably won't make it. http://rekonstruction.com
Too bad I've been looking forward to it. The backstory sounded kind of interesting :'(

luckily vendetta seems to be doing better :D

Maybe if they had learned how to spell "reconstruction"?

I'm with Paedric on this one.

Duh guys. It's one of those quirky misspellings like "Krispy Kreme."
Aug 12, 2004 Suicidal Lemming link
But Krispy Kreme is alive and kicking.

Actually, Krispy Kreme is losing market share due to the recent popularity of the Atkin's diet here in the States. The stock price is falling. Low/No carbs rule. Rah! Rah! Rah!

Futher more, it is under investigation for violations of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974.

Better dump those shares quick kiddies.

Death to them! Those things are not "real" doughnuts. Real doughnuts are puffy and misshapen clouds of goodness - not perfectly stamped-out, overly sweet, sugar-slimed processed rings.

And don't even get me started about bagels.

Please, go on about bagels.
Aug 13, 2004 paedric link
Yes, please elucidate.

I hate Krispy Kreme. Too damn sugary and greasy. I'm more of a Dunkin' Donuts fan myself. MMMhhh.... boston cream...

I'm not too picky about bagels. I heard Manhatten Bagels are good. I think I had 'em once at Penn State. Good stuff.

FM, are you from New York by any chance? :P

Okay, you've forced my hand.

Bagels: Bagels are NOT supposed to be bland, pale, stamped-out rings of bread, all fluffy and soft with perfect holes. No.

Bagels are supposed to be golden-brown, deformed, hard on the outside and dense and chewy on the inside. Unlike bread, they are not made with any oil or fat - which is why they are dense. Unlike bread, they are boiled before they are baked to get the hard shiny outside. You can tell the boiled ones by the hard shiny exterior, and also by a little bit of corn meal on the bottom.

And I will have to agree with FM. He is very correct about the hows and whys of bagels. I've made them myself and you do have to boil them prior to baking. The corn meal is to keep them from sticking to the baking sheet.

*wipes nose*

Re: Dunkin Donuts... In the northeast, they rule. In Texas, the franchise owners cut too many corners. They pretty much suck out loud here.

Krispy Kreme!!! My dad's from Chattanooga, my grandparents live there, I'm from the South, so I fit the description of a Krispy Kreme person. Chocolate Fudge Premium Ice Glazed Donuts are the bestest. Long name, amazing results. (trademark all of the "www.helpwanted[insert city here].com" stuff)

Yup, I agree with Forum Moderator on the bagel bit and the donut bit.

Im not eating any of your bagels!

How can you guys honestly say Krispy Kreme are good donuts? They are like pure sugar on those disgusting Mcdonald buns.

/me is NOT a fan of Krispy Kreme.

Wow, I thought I was the only one who didn't like fresh Krispy Kreme donuts. Rock on.

When Krispy Kreme started opening up stores around here, people acted like it was the second coming of Christ. Cars would line up for miles. I.. don't like 'em.

I do.
