No, I don't think there is a monkey in Stargate either. Your right, that would certainly help.

Is too. Amanda Tapping is a monkey.

Boy those old B movies people do really come back to haunt them at images.google.com.

Are you SURE she is a monkey? Monkeys are usually more inherently funny and don't often have old nekkid seens on the internet.

Right turn Clyde.

Just wanted to bump this because, frankly, I hate TV. I hate what contemporary TV has done to SCi_fi as a genre (see Stargate, Andromeda, Babylon, etc etc.)

But I have now watched all of season 1, and almost all of season 2, and all I have to say is: wow.

This series has me by the balls (and the choke chords). Probably the only television show I've ever seen that not only satisfys my insatiable desire for fancy space battles with sweet retro-tech (almost steampunk if you really let yourself glide), and melodraman that has made both me and my girlfriend get misty (she's the only one who actually cried though...seriously! I didn't cry. A no-see-um flew into my eye-ball. Thats all, SERIOUSLY!!!!)

Anyway, thats all I have to say. Sorry, were you about to say something emotional, powerful, and a major part of the story?

DISMISSED PRIVATE!!!

I know i'm going to get flams but I watched all of season 1 and most of season 2. i just couldn't get into it. it started out ok, but then became a space soap opera.

I would rather watch stargate SG1 and Stargate atlantis then Battlestar.

All Hail the Ori!!!

Yeah, sooo good, just went through season 2... its frakking unbelieveable how complex the storyline is.

...Stargate? I'd rather donate my kidneys. -.-

BSG all the way.

Also, notice how Star Trek ispretty much dead now. And probablywill be unless they come out with something ground breaing (I mean DS9 cool)

Gimme Galactica, either the original or this new incarnation, over any Stargate, any time (with the probable exception of the original SG movie).

And, whether some people like it or not, Babylon 5 rocked, resurrected SF in TV in a time of lame Star Trek spin-offs, and is the reason BSG and Firefly got a chance.

Hehe. My TiVo catches all of Sci-Fi from 6 PM to 10 PM, Firefly to Stargate to Atlantis to BSG. I find myself fast-forwarding more thru the Stargates more than last year, and rewinding more on BSG than last year. ("...Adama said WHAT?...")

Firefly and Galactica, finally some GOOD Sci-fi.

I also can't stand Stargate, its just, meh, detectives...in...SPPPAAAAAACE.

And I agree about Babylon 5, but I never was able to see it all through, so it was always disjointed, which was sad cuz I loved the feel.

Well actually, I don't know because he told me, but instead because of where this show is heading regarding current earth religions and what not.

Admiral Cain is going up against Commander "A". And the Cylon's believe in a singular God. One could therefore rationalize that going up against the Cylon's Resurrection ship as an offering of blood sacrifice.

My prediction:

The fight is going to go wrong, with Cain assuming that if she pulls her Vipers back then the Galactica will be overwelmed and destroyed. But! The Galactica will prevail, and instead it will be the Pegasus that is destroyed.

Whoa. That's quite a prediction, Gavan. Cain & Abel? Man...
Jan 14, 2006 leapfrog link
Ahhhhh... the Admiral and the Commander have it out - or do they?

Actually, I just saw it... and it was very well scripted... w00t! (I don't want to give anything away for fear of fraking it up for the *later* comers... but DANG!)

me <-- totally sucked in now... very nice storyline...

Yeah, I loved tonights episode. When Starbuck was walkin down that hallway, it was the first time I've truly had my heart thumpin in a tv series. (Not a spoiler, just a teaser)

Battlestar Galactica? Just two little words: "Grace Park." Does it all for me.

Welp, another storyline tied up nicely with an unexpected twist at the end. <sigh>

sadly the "previews" fraked up the most recent episode for me, if you looked close enough then the shot of the hand holding a gun to the admirals head gave away the whole ending :/
